im so conflicted with this storyline. i absolutely love the characters, but the original story moves at a snailspace already and now we find out that something will happen that they will ha e no memories of the progress they already took forever to make? i feel like I've invested so much time and money into a novel that will not even get to the good parts. im putting this novel and the sequel to the side until it's finished.....in 2026 before coming back. which is a bummer since it is a great story.
Idea of the story is intriguing but the English really diminishes the quality significantly. What's more, there's way too much dialogue and the fact that exposition is not used to describe what is going on also makes it a pain to read.If your character is tired, then describe how he is tired, not say "*in a tired voice*" and be done with it, that's just lazy and unprofessional.There's also no indication of who is speaking most of the time so you're left wondering who is talking and the lack of exposition also makes the characters look boring. I'm here to read a story, not to uncover the mysteries of what you're writing. If I have to spend extra effort to understand what you're writing, then I might as well not read it.
The grammar definitely needs improvements, and the choices of the characters felt stupid, but that's okay, as long as you actually improve it will be good.

Can we just pause and appreciate Lu Chengjing for a second? This man comes home from the hospital, pushes a bicycle for half an hour in the highlands, and then what does he do? He personally cleans Lin Shuyao's room. Not just tidies it - he wipes every surface, every corner, brings brand-new cotton quilts that he'd been saving for himself, enamel basins, towels, everything. And he does it without making a big deal out of it. The text describes sunlight slanting through the window onto his profile while he's working and Lin Shuyao just sits there mesmerized. This is the moment where the whole 'cold on the outside warm on the inside' trope comes to life and honestly it works. What makes it even more emotionally charged is that Lin Shuyao is a 21st-century woman who transmigrated into this body. She's used to modern convenience and she's genuinely touched by these small acts of kindness that most people in this era wouldn't even consider. When she thinks 'he's definitely a good person' - and I believe her. The emotional beat here is subtle but powerful. It's not grand declarations of love, it's a man silently making sure his wife-to-be-divorce is comfortable. And Lin Shuyao, who was ready to treat this as purely transactional, actually feels grateful. That's the seed of something real right there.
This Sci-Fi story is absolutely amazing! Simply a gem. I am a good fan of fantasy cultivation novels but this book is something I definitely would read over and over again without getting bored. Story is well-paced and the characters are lovable. Author's english is superb and this gives a smooth and enjoyable experience when reading. Also, the author's skill at giving descriptions is excellent and this evokes a beautiful mental imagery. Greatly interested to see where the story goes. I only hope the author can reveal where the static that causes the mutation came from. Perhaps it is what we would discover ourselves as we read the story. Definitely a must read!! ? x ?
