Although for some reason the rating of the novel is lease than what it deserves, don't be fooled. You can hate qidian if you want to, but this novel when compared with similar stories in this genre (eg. Swallowed star) is quite beautiful. This is not a typical weak-to-strong story. There is no harem or ruthless mass murder. The story and scientific elements are comparatively better than contemporaries. The translation and the writing style of the author is of a higher standard than most webnovels, so if you don't find it an easy read, don't blame the novel. All in all a worthy read. It can drag a bit, in some irrelevant chapters discussing wines and luxuries, but it is a welcome deviation from cliched training towers, levels and cultivation tropesTL;DR : Better than swallowed star, a bit of a drag but worthy read
This is good for me its a combination of a few novels. But the problem is the grammar and spelling. I dont mind the math cause every novel i read always has problem with numbers in one way or another. Please fix the grammar and spelling find a translator cause reading this novel as it is making me question my sanity

I saw that this book was in the voting pool, therfor I decided to give it a try, cuz I liked cold Palace so I decided to try it. I decided to drop I a couple of chapters later. Then I decided to give it a try again when it got chosen, and then again I decided to drop it. I went to the ranking list a couple of days later to see which novel was in the first place, and to my surprise it was this novel. let me remind you again I read Cold Palace. So I got doubtful, cuz cold Palace didn't have a rank. and in my opinion cold Palace gave me a better first impression than this. so I thought that I might have been too quick with my decision. Therfor I decided to give it a try again, but lord did it not get any better, this makes me really suspect the ratings. I've tried 3 times and it still didn't change my mind.before I end this review let me write something about myself. I've been reading novels for 4-5 years , reading mangas for 6-7 years and watched anime for close to a decade now. while this might not be a lot compared to some of you old monster leveled people I still consider myself as an experienced reader when it comes to judging books.if I were to chose between cold Palace and this one here I and they were published at the same time with 40 trial chapters I would 10 out of 10 times chose cold Palace. I'm not saying that cold Palace is an extremely good book or something I'm just saying that compared to this one it's better. so how tf did this novel get first place, I dropped that vampire book that cuz of "I've always wanted to be a vampire" Which in my opinion was way to forced. but even then I would chose that novel over this. and then let's not even begin to compare this with cultivation online, which I didn't have anything to complain about othere than the update rate lol. Like what daoist 1324 commented, this story has a really plain and simple writing style. To be very honest, this type of writing style rarely makes me feel excited nor motivated to continue reading the story.In addition, this is my first "farming-type" of novel I am reading and I just can't seem to get into the mood/atmosphere of the story. Maybe I am really not suited for such drawn-out and slow novels. This is just my personal opinions, and I am sure some of you guys may like this.Some cons I would like to point out:- Translation Quality→ Throughout the story, there are quite some grammatical errors inregards to pronouns. Sometimes, a/an plant/object is a "he/she" instead of an "it".- Story Developement→ Sorry, I just don't really see where the story is developing to. Basically, the story gives me the impression that this would just be a repetitive story where the mc would just cultivate, enhance plants, solve some problems and the cycles repeats, on and on. (This statement may be really unfair for this story as I dropped at chapter 12, but I will still stick to this point of view first.)- Character design→ I mean the characters are fine. The only thing I found weird was the mc didn't seem to have a goal? I mean he had one which was to get rids of his tumour. But after getting rid of his tumour, he just continued to enhanced his plants and cultivate. But the novel never told us specifically why he was cultivating. Am I right? Or did I missed out something?Yup, so basically these are just my personal opinions. A 3.2/5 for me.
Some minor mistakes with the translation quality usually not serious and doesn't hinder you from reading. Can't tell what the stability of updates are because most the chapters were released on the same day. Story develops in a unique way putting a spin on the normal style of these types of story's though it mostly follows a simple template. Character design isn't explored all that much but it still gives us descriptions of the characters personality. World background is executed well but is not explored much as it is basically just our world. 4.4/5Overall Review: There are moments where you can get confused because of the different common-sense because the author is from china so you have to infer some things about the story but it doesn't hinder you from enjoying the story Translation Quality has some minor mistakes but those can be overlooked.
