potential work, regular updating would be even better
UDATED! Hi everyone. Sorry for keeping you waiting. I've FINALLY finished with edits and added new chapters!
For those who read until the latest chapter, the new chapters starts from CHAPTER 18!
Okay so let me just say—Gu Zhanran's move against Xin Yan was one of the most satisfying off-screen plot moments I've read in ages. The author doesn't even show us the actual strike. We only learn about it secondhand through Zhang Xiaowan's speculation and An Juexiao's realization. And that's what makes it so good. It's like the novel is saying: the most powerful moves are the ones you don't see coming. "Gu Zhanran's strike had really been steady, precise, and ruthless, hitting Xin Yan right where it hurt most, and doing it all without a sound." That line gave me chills. The whole chapter plays with dramatic irony—we, the readers, know Gu Zhanran helped An Juexiao, but An Juexiao herself is only just connecting the dots. And the plot layering here is brilliant: first there's the Xin Yan subplot that we've been following, then this reveal that Gu Zhanran was the one pulling strings, and then An Juexiao's reaction of feeling like a "loan shark" instead of a benefactor. It flips the power dynamic in such a natural way. The fan group subplot is smaller but it ties in nicely—it's the beginning of An Juexiao's rise, and the author plants the seed with that one fan whose ID is "Prize Inside When Opened." Come on, that's Gu Zhanran joining under a secret identity. The author is clearly setting up a payoff later when An Juexiao discovers her most devoted fan is actually the guy she's been casually chatting with. Classic slow-burn setup. And then the horse riding scene—it seems like filler at first, right? Just a fun day on set. But the author is weaving in the emotional through-line: An Juexiao choosing the white horse, the black horse (Gu Zhanran's) reacting to it, the two horses communicating. It's plot progression disguised as slice-of-life. The chapter ends with Little White suddenly bolting, searching for something—and we know what. The tension between the mundane and the meaningful is what keeps this story gripping.
More more updates like so much the story
is there another part to this book
Loving this innocent love story of a teenager. Awesome author.
At first I was loving this book but then it got confusing I was so lost
Good read actually
Wish this story lasts longer
I love the pacing and plot of the story. It is very intriguing but some of the dialogue(especially Eskaal's) seems a bit...unrealistic. It doesn't feel like what a person would say in real life. Despite that, the book has a great flow and I can't wait to read the rest of it.
I feel so sad for her. I feel like shedding tears right now. so emotional.
This book is highly recommended ...
awesome premise
