I enjoyed the story, it is very different from what I usually read, but it has been an enjoyable read so far, and I will continue reading it. I will not go into details about the plot in this review, as to not spoil anyone. This was a joy to read. I found no glaring mistakes, it was very pleasant to read through and the flow was good. I think the plot is quite interesting, I had a few issues with the first few chapters, both because I have not read many stories in this genre, and because it was slightly confusing, but after reading further into the novel everything started to get explained well and the pace was wonderful.I think that the world and characters gets more fleshed out the further into the story you reach. It is explained well, without feeling intrusive into the story at all. I would suggest you to try it out.
At 1st I like the story but in the main character start to become way too nice.

I've only read the prologue but I have to leave a comment on thisOne of the best prologues on this entire site. It actually does the job of hooking you in, I felt like one of the demons listening to the middle age mans story. Gave me goosebumps
Incluso después de haber leído está historia hasta hace ya más de un año no puedo imaginarme el como el autor hubiera desarrollado la historia teniendo a tantos personajes principales.
The dialogue in this passage is remarkably natural, with each character having a distinct voice. Lin Xiaoman's speech is confident but not arrogant—she's businesslike with customers (“Uncle, what can we do for you?”) but warm with neighbors (“I hope you uncles and aunties will come and try it”). Her line “Uncle Jiao, just wait. I promise you'll never forget the taste!” has a playful confidence that feels earned, not boastful. The neighbors' dialogue is where the humor lives. The man who asks “What is ‘spicy'?” is perfectly naive. The skeptical woman's challenge—“Little girl, how old are you? Even if you started learning to cook in the cradle, could you really outdo a professional chef?”—is delivered with such arch skepticism that it's almost affectionate. These aren't mean-spirited characters; they're curious, doubtful, but ultimately willing to be won over. Shopkeeper Feng's dialogue reveals his businessman mindset. “If we can establish a long-term partnership, there's a proper way to go about it. If not, there are other arrangements.” He's negotiating, but he's also reading Lin Xiaoman. When she asks about pricing before he finishes explaining his three options, his “hint of disappointment” is shown through narrative, not dialogue—a smart choice that lets his words speak for themselves. The customers' reactions are pure comic gold: “It burns! This stuff stings the mouth!” followed immediately by “Meat is still better than vegetables!” The dialogue captures the universal experience of discovering something new and being simultaneously tortured and delighted by it.
