I really love this novel hope that it surpassed 1000 chapter
Too much hype turns out to be boring. Omnipotent and sage will equals to mc plot armor and OP skills. Dont get your hopes up as I think this story is the typical run of the mill novel. However it might change later on I don't really know we have to wait to be a better judge on this
Too good...this book is just so good.
Currently at chapter 174, let's start the review. The story is set in a modern age where an apocalypse has occurred. Immortal individuals are born, but contrary to our initial expectations, the world doesn't transform with Qi pouring into the modern setting. Instead, it creates a parallel dimension where death leads to a return to the real world, akin to VR in the cultivation world with secret realms and more.As is typical, we are introduced to the protagonist who lacks grade or spiritual roots. Surprisingly, he has been transmigrated for around three years. The story follows the usual trope as he befriends a mysterious lady from a top-tier clan. The face-slapping moments start around chapter 30-40 when the MC begins to kill individuals from the Thousand Pavilion in the cultivation world (distinct from the real world). Youngsters come first, followed by elders, until the entire pavilion sets its sights on him.I cannot comment on the translation as English is not my first language. The world-building is decent, though it lacks a clear general direction and overall situation. The focus primarily revolves around the MC's journey, including city names, events, and locations. However, I'm unsure about the number of factions, nations, or realms in the story. Now, let's discuss the MC's personality. He lacks motivation and feels as though he should be a mortal since he holds no grudges. He desires peaceful cultivation but recognizes the need to become stronger. Additionally, he isn't particularly interested in romantic relationships. Here's where the problem arises with the system. It possesses enough power to help the MC break through from being mortal to establishing the foundation (2nd realm) in less than three months, or so I believe. However, as the story progresses (after he flees from the elder chasing him), although he remains overpowered and can defeat his peers due to his earlier conflicts with the pavilion individuals, he is constantly pursued by stronger cultivators, which diminishes his significance despite having a system.Furthermore, his rapid progress eventually slows down. By the time I reached chapter 174, the MC had only recently advanced to the middle stage of the foundation realm (4th layer of the 2nd realm). This progression is notably slower compared to his breakthrough from mortal to foundation establishment realm, which took 100 chapters. The remainder of the story focuses on his fascination with alchemy (with an abrupt shift to array formation) and his enthusiasm for acquiring various techniques.I almost forgot to mention the common trope where the MC sells weapons and encounters a girl who can sell his weapons. This girl later finds herself in trouble with other sellers, and the MC steps in to help. Consequently, he becomes an esteemed guest in the girl's clan, which hails from the core/central plain. However, this clan lacks sufficient power when compared to the first heroine. That concludes my review. I may have misunderstood certain parts as I skipped through sections due to losing interest when the MC's progress significantly slowed down.
I am... disappointed. I’m at chapter 573. I haven’t seen him properly teach his students other than a pep talk about life. He either uses Soul Imprint or it gets skimmed over. I don’t even know what rank his students are for over a hundred chapters. There is so much potential in his student’s background that the MC OBVIOUSLY can tell but doesn’t do anything. DON’T get me STARTED on his choices with system knowledge. He has had multiple rewards that he could choose the knowledge he recieves. He never chose something to help his LITERALLY DYING students. The time emblems. The Fking Time emblems. My god are they op, But that’s not what I care about. It’s how he hasn’t Spam bought them from the store and used it to get knowledge. He could have used it to learn spirit runes and save Jiang Cheng, HIS STRONGEST STUDENT AT PEAK CONDITION MIND YOU, by chapter 100. Yet, he uses it on nonsense like The Great Formless Divine Art which he KNOWS is the literal PEAK INHERITANCE of one of the NINE GREATS. He is going to die by using it, yet he focuses on it over his insanely other far more OP manuals. And the system. The system, ah. We have such great heart to heart moments with it, then it talks about killing the MC if he can’t complete a task. The author only obviously puts something like that in as pressure, but it completely ruins the story. It simply means the MC is forced to do what the system sets up, or he legitimately dies. He has no freedom to choose his future. It basically tells us EXACTLY how the story ends. He either dies - or the school reaches the Nine Greats. I also hate when the system compares him to past hosts. Just recently we had an inner system monologue that had the system say that the MC is in the top 5 of its past hosts. Sorry author, as readers, he will be the best. So why the h*ll would you write that? Like actually though? The system has potential in the way it shows emotions, yet that gets thrown out the window when it talks of killing the host. It’s a parasite. A massive potential ruined by cliché writing. A disappointment. P.S. WHY TF HASN’T THE MC SPENT 50k POINTS ON TIME EMBLEMS AND USED THEM ON THE DIVINE SIGHT? HE CAN SAVE ALL OF HIS STUDENTS IF HE CAN SEE THEIR TRUE CONDITIONS. PAPAYA GIRL IS A LITERAL GOD BUT THE SYSTEM RATES HER AT EXTEMELY LOW POTENTIAL BECAUSE YOU DON’T LEVEL ITTTTTT. P.P.S. Screw the potential ratings. They ruin the story. Lu Zhurou obviously has something special going on but is rated to be extremely low. It’s obvious, yet the system rates it as so. Jiang Chen is ruined by spirit runes and was rated Low. It’s something obviously fixable. Yet, his POTENTIAL is low. Stupid BS. I’M angry. Novel has such amazing potential.
Shameless reader here giving a book 5 star since its my favorite!! Hoping author looks at this review and immediately posts 100 more chapters at least, 200 hopefully
I think this story is very likeable .. And i think i recommend this to be read by others because it is interesting.. So you should read this novel !
Very interesting read, this form of writing is a dose of freshness from other Light Novels. It reminds me of the Chinese Novel about Army Building as well, I believe the title was a "Reincarnated Lord". Sad thing thr Chinese censured it, would have loved to read it to its end. I hope this novel would keep up its quality and ride me through Feudalistic Japan as I turn every page.
Well, when i picked up this novel 5-6 months ago, I enjoeyed it like a madman. When stellar-planetary arc started i suffered for quie a while waiting for it to be completed, when it did. i was quite happy and enjoyed this novel at that time, BUT ( here's why i dont recommend this novel) War arc starts- Honestly, it killed novel as a whole piece and i didnt even read all of chapters, just skipped new updates to see when it finally ends. Well 5 months later, im still waiting :) 0/10000 story development wise
Chinese novels were very important to me, I started to love novels by reading "Coiling dragon" and haven't stopped reading since. But over time my "taste" has matured, there are some novels that I liked before that I can't read a chapter now, with time I realized how poor most Chinese novels are. This novel is this: Poor, there is nothing new, nothing interesting, it is always the same thing: Young master, young lady, slaps in the face, miraculous treasure, several chapters dedicated to something that can be solved in a SINGLE sentence , stupid crowd, the protagonist is despised by everyone, and an eternal escalation, there is always someone more talented, someone more powerful, other worlds more developed, other dimensions with another race, another multiverse ...I don't want to offend anyone, but Chinese readers seem to suffer from some kind of mental illness, I don't understand how popular these "things" are in China, Chinese communism imprisons the brain of its people, originality is dying.Summary: This novel is garbage.
I like how the story flows. There are not many cliches even though this is a system Apocalypse novel. If you combine these 2 genres then you will probably see many same types of outcomes but different types of titles. Very satisfied as of now.
This book if unique. Thanks for sharing this one. Great read, not too expensive chapter either, Waiting for the update. Highly recomeneded. Im inlove with Anna being a baddaassass.. Love it.
