I wrapped this up via MTL after reading all the translated chapters available. I really enjoyed it. The worlds are incredibly unique, ranging from modeling and biochemistry to design, alongside the more conventional themes like cooking and cultivation. While I still have a soft spot for a story where someone’s last regret is not winning the chili cook-off, I appreciated how Lin Dan's journey through the various worlds focuses on her personal growth. The strong female friendships that developed later on were a particularly welcome addition. I also really liked the ending and felt it was set up nicely.
Upon beginning, I found myself completely engrossed and couldn't resist finishing it. An idea struck me: If this were to be adapted into a drama, I'd definitely want to watch it. Here's my imagined casting: the female lead should exude grace in both contemporary and traditional attire, effortlessly transitioning between on-screen roles and maintaining her allure. As for the male protagonist, he should embody a regal charm with a hint of strength, suiting both modern and historical looks effortlessly. And if there's a suspense or horror element, let it pack a powerful punch in the adaptation.
