Would you be captivated by the spectacle of massive destruction like the Rods from God in action, leaving audiences stunned?
These elements are what make this novel stand out for me. It's currently the best I've come across in its genre, and my personal preference leans towards this kind of story. Of course, everyone's taste varies, but if you share similar interests, give it a try.
The pacing might be slow initially, but it adds to the overall enjoyment. The first story arc was fantastic, with engaging characters, thrilling battles, and a captivating world-building that only improves. The recreation of the Three Kingdoms period was a bit confusing at first, but a quick skim through can fix that.
One issue I had was the translation on NovelUpdates (Fantasy World Online). During my discovery, the content wasn't free (VIP only), so I found a better, free translation on Webnovel published by Sokdavid. For the rest of the story, I relied on machine translation, which虽然不太流畅但也足够让我沉浸其中。

The narrative is intriguing; I'm not sure if it's just my impression, but it has a touch of wuxia or xianxia flavor to it (subjective opinion). Among my favorite light novels, "Seirei Gensou" ranks alongside "Nidome no Yuusha." Unlike many isekai stories that often rely on clichéd references, "Seirei Gensou" stands out for its well-crafted plot without overused jokes or excessive pop culture nods that can make the story feel shallow. The introduction of additional heroes from other worlds adds a fresh twist to the typical isekai formula.
While I do appreciate the variety, I would prefer the author keep the harem aspect minimal, limiting the number of female characters who develop romantic feelings for the protagonist. I hope the story doesn't follow the unfortunate trajectory of "Arifureta," which started strong but ended up as a disappointment.
In my opinion, it's a decent read but not exceptional. If you're searching for a strong-willed female protagonist with a clear goal and a realistic mindset in an apocalyptic setting, this might be worth checking out.

However, the plot loses steam as the focus shifts to her quest for a safe place to settle as a family. Unfortunately, I found the MC, her relationship with the male lead (ML), and the overall pacing somewhat monotonous, leaving me unsure of how the journey ends.

When MC recovers from childbirth, she discovers a zombie outbreak while visiting her daughter. She manages to locate her child and another woman's child, hiding in the blue light room. They struggle to survive and eventually clear the floor. However, the character dynamics become strained, with one woman abandoning her child and the MC forming alliances based on survival instincts rather than genuine camaraderie.
As the story progresses, the MC returns to her community, which is under the control of a group of security guards. Despite her daughter's constant distractions, she teams up with a neighbor to take down the guards, including the powerful Tao Ge. Amidst chaos, they encounter various challenges, including a gang and mutated creatures.
The MC's plant abilities, initially impressive, turn out to be less effective against stronger foes. Meanwhile, her neighbor, who also survived a zombie bite, tragically meets her demise. The group ultimately escapes to a designated base, where political intrigue and a desire to protect the MC persist.
It's worth noting that the MC's character development and relationships could have been more nuanced, and her plant powers felt somewhat overpowered at times. Overall, the story has potential but could benefit from a tighter narrative and more consistent character growth.
I literally have no words for how much I love this novel.
To start off, it’s sort of like a typical leveling-up novel, but with a sports and BL twist. However, the system plays more of a supporting role, rather than just reshaping the MC to become super OP. The "level boosts" are there to reinforce the psychological state of the MC rather than just making him run faster, etc.
The characters are very well-developed, and the whole novel doesn’t just revolve around the main couple. (In fact, they didn’t even get together in the main story; it was only hinted at in the side story, or at least there was no explicit romance scene in the first 144 chapters.)
What really blew me away was the huge twist in the middle of the story!

After the MC became a big star in track and field (running, hurdles, etc.), he was reborn! Thankfully, the ML also got reborn with his memories, and this time around, the MC had to take the path of figure skating. Crazy, right?!
Plus, the parents are not idiots and clearly realized something was wrong with their son. They eventually confronted him, and everything got cleared up, though the father had a hard time accepting the rebirth trope.
It was heart-wrenching to see all the familiar characters from his first life (ch.1-143) forget who he was and all their fun times together. But we all have to move on and create new memories.
Despite all that, I can really see all the hard work, time, and dedication the MC puts into the things he wants to pursue and how he inspires so many others.
All I can say is that he had truly become the brightest star in the sky.
P.S. The machine translation was incredibly easy to understand. Maybe even one of the easiest I’ve ever seen (and let me tell you, I’ve seen a lot), so no need to worry about that!
