I need to talk about Wang Shuning because this girl is absolutely ruthless in the best way. Watch her in this chapter — while Guo Jingyi is already emotional about not wanting to live with Zhang Meili, and Zhao Heping is just quietly suffering, and Lü Beichu is out here threatening to report the village chief to the town, Wang Shuning is over there calmly assessing what she actually needs. She doesn't want the 'best' room. She wants the room where she can grow vegetables and build a kitchen. That is a completely different strategic mindset. And the way she handles Zhang Meili — pulling her toward He Pingping's house first, then suddenly claiming she wants to live with Meili instead — you can literally see the calculation happening. She's reading the room, reading people, and adjusting in real time. Then there's Guo Jingyi, who is just... so transparent. She doesn't even try to hide that she'd rather live with Zhang Meili than Wang Shuning because she senses Wang Shuning is aloof. And then she immediately tries to pull Wang Shuning into the He Pingping arrangement when it suits her. Classic move. I also love the quiet tragedy of Zhao Heping — he's broke, he's being squeezed, and his only move is to agree to everything because he has no money to fight with. 'Okay.' Just okay. Meanwhile Lü Beichu is the hot-headed idealist who wants to go straight to the town authorities, which honestly would've been a disaster for everyone. Their dynamic as a couple feels really grounded too — she reins him in with a sleeve tug and he listens. That's a relationship built on actual trust, not just romance. And can we talk about He Zhuzhu? Widow, poorest of the three homeowners, desperate to rent out her leaky room, throwing in free vegetables and kitchen access like a sales pitch. She's not evil, she's just surviving. The author doesn't make any of these people one-dimensional, which is rare.
What strikes me most about these chapters is how the setting just breathes. You've got country roads, straw hats, kang beds, moxa leaves fumigating rooms, fields where everyone's working, a village chief's house where dogs deliver pheasants. This isn't a generic backdrop — it's a specific time and place that feels tangible. The space healing ability is a brilliant worldbuilding choice. It gives Qiao Huan a supernatural edge without making her invincible — she still needs to perform the surgery herself, still needs acupuncture to put Ye Yunzhou under, still needs to wait two months for the strengthening medicine to kick in. The rules are clear and consistent. I also love the small details: Lin Meijuan falling asleep on the bench outside, Lei Ting collapsing to the ground in exhaustion, the sugar water Qiao Huan makes for Jian Ying, the way Ye Yunzhou's fingers are calloused from years of military training. These aren't decorative details — they're the texture of a life. The scene where Qiao Huan is throwing dirt at Lei Ting and they both turn to see Jian Ying hiding by the wall — that moment where the comedic physical comedy suddenly shifts to something quieter and more mysterious is masterful. The girl is 'less than 1.5 meters tall' with a 'dirty face like a little cat.' In one sentence, the author gives us a complete visual and an emotional response from Qiao Huan. This world feels like it exists whether the camera is pointing at it or not.

Uhum. I believe in judging a book by its cover, and in WN case, I believe in judging a book by its cover and the first 10 chapters.Why? Well, the first ten better be good, or I won’t be bother reading ahead. Like let’s be fr, if the first chapter sucks, ain’t no one reading it. For this book, fk the chapter, I liked the synopsis. Maybe it’s my weird mind, but i took the line “and with his hoe” as a different thing hehe… Anyways, if my man ain’t planting his seeds… I mean, the first the ten chapters were really good. They were easy to read, which is my go to. I hate those books with big ass words smh. The concept is fun to me, love fArming stuff, so I may be a bit biased. The writing is also good, the world building seems fun.Overall, a very happy book, great change of pace from my darker reads.

An interesting spin on a cultivation type story that almost doesn't feel like it & with a feel of fantasy on the side. I can't think of spelling/grammar mistakes as they don't stand out, if there are any. It's harsh and gruesome from the start but absolutely captivating trying to figure out what is go on without feeling teased with the lack of information or explanation. The 'personality' of the system is enjoyable for the writing creativity but I can't decide if I want to cheer for it or hate on it. It's a very well written style of a system. The MC might be a good guy deep down inside but there's some dark or gray spots that are easy to see in his actions.Very much looking forward to more.(there is some pretty steamy scenes for those that enjoy that level of culture)Knockout story
