I initially struggled to comprehend why so many people enjoyed this novel. I found myself pushing through without understanding my discomfort, until I realized it stemmed from its transparent structure. The author hooks readers with sad scenes where the main character (MC) repeatedly laments his actions but emphasizes their necessity. This emotional manipulation creates a sense of satisfaction when the female leads uncover the truth. At only ten chapters in, I wondered why it bothered me so much, usually giving novels a fair chance until around fifty chapters before reviewing.
However, I realized I couldn't empathize with a protagonist built solely on suffering for the sake of drama. It felt forced and insincere, like the author was directly manipulating events through a plot device to create conflict. Instead of a natural progression, it resembled watching the author manipulate characters and situations in real-time.
The story's premise is clear, and its intentions are evident, but perhaps it's too transparent, leaving no room for surprise or unpredictability. While the narrative itself isn't overly complicated, the setting – a game world where a descendant must save it by reversing their previous destruction – seems contrived when described. It does sound a bit absurd when put into words. What are your thoughts on this?

This is basically one of the best. The characters were fun, I love the side characters. Especially LQ's pets. I especially love how LQ didn't become irrational because of love and what remains still is the strengthening of the base and the relationship of every characters. The background of the world is of course, dark, because it is a post-apocalyptic world, and how they managed to make it into a comedy is amazing. Villains died, some died too easily. I wanted more pain, lol. The romance part here is not that strong and I like it that way. Anyways, this is 10/10 because of bowwow's naughtiness, ling ling's cuteness, and teng's troublemaking.
The ending is rush as if the author just want this novel to end immediately without thinking the appropriate logic of all the death of supporting characters. The MC slowly became too cocky confident for her own good that leads her to making stupid decisions. ??
