Your brother? How could I fight for him? If I had, the Witch
A white aura surrounded the ship before it vanished
I need to sit with Teacher Yang for a moment. On the surface, she seems like the most reasonable person in this entire mess. She cancels the engagement, gives Lin Zhaoyang the house and the bride price as compensation, and delivers this beautiful ultimatum to Yang Wen: "Either your mother... or Lin Ni." She even says the devastating line: "Raising a son like you is my greatest failure. You're exactly like your father." But here's what got me— the text explicitly tells us: "These tears were shed for herself. For losing such a wonderful future daughter-in-law. And for having raised a son like Yang Wen." She liked Zhaoyang BEFORE the engagement was ruined. She was secretly delighted when Zhaoyang became single. This is a woman who saw Zhaoyang as a trophy daughter-in-law and is mourning the loss of her own social standing, not the pain she caused her son. And then there's Du Hongying, oh my god. The stepmother who pretends to be gentle, who cries and begs Lin Daheng to talk to his father properly, who says "She's just foolish" about Lin Ni. Lin Zhaoyang's internal monologue about her is pure ice: "All that fake gentleness... Those pretentious airs... Lin Ni had inherited every bit of it from her." The fact that Lin Ni copied Du Hongying's manipulative sweetness is honestly the most terrifying detail in this whole chapter. Lin Rongzong is another layer of nightmare. He slaps Lin Ni publicly— but the text says he was "almost smiled with satisfaction" when he saw her bruised face. He's performing grief while secretly being pleased that his daughter succeeded in stealing the fiancé. And Ma Xiaofang? She flatters the grandfather while subtly throwing shade at Lin Daheng: "We're not like certain people. Dad really raised them for nothing." Every character in this family is performing something. Nobody is genuine except maybe Lin Daheng in his rage.
"But, bhaisaab, Bhumi has her entire life to look forward to. Once she comes with us and settles down, she could continue her studies, and focus her attention there. I think we can both agree that it would be best for Bhumi to give her some time and then get her married to a suitable boy. We cannot let her destroy her entire life by living as a widow. Is it not the best thing for Bhumi?" Bhumi's father argued vehemently.
For the first time he looked at his surroundings with all his awakened senses.
Thanks for the support and reading so far and once again sorry.
What greeted me was a handsome boy. His head is blocking the sun, making his dark blue hair shines. I can't clearly see his face but I know, he's definitely a handsome boy.
(what's the problem you two)
Bampira. Sila!?! Pero paano nangyari? Bakit hindi ko napansin? Bakit?
Adam ruined the fantasy further by rejoining them at that moment with a new glass of champagne in his hands.
"Mother always made the greatest sweets, so did Father. They are always so amazing at baking." He said, he looked down at the leftovers. He should save some for Amo, Amara kicked her feet back and fourth.
"The only thing that keeps you from having sex with your wife is the age factor." He walked around the counter and handed me a beer, sitting on the bench next to me. "But you know what? Girls lose their virginity at every age. 17 years is nothing. And you're not even going to take advantage of her, you're married.
