Hi Author, may I know, does the story still continue or ended here?pls advice
the prologue already has me crying. This story will definitely reach million in due course.
Love how it’s not draggy. Every chapter deserves attention. Thank u for the beautiful story and making Monica strong. Xoxo
This was awesome I loved all of the plot twists. I would love to see another book to continue this story line.
The worldbuilding in these chapters is quietly brilliant because it doesn't announce itself—it just exists, and you feel it. The military base has this lived-in quality. You've got the training field where soldiers are running laps and crawling under vehicles, the west side where eight Jeeps are parked, the department store with its "emerald-green glass doors decorated with red-on-white 'Welcome' signs." That last detail stopped me cold. It's such a specific, visual description that immediately places you in a particular time and place—1970s China, probably, given the cloth tickets and voucher system. The base isn't just a backdrop; it's a character. Song Tian crawling under cars with a wrench and pipe tape dangling from her mouth, sleeves rolled to her elbows, this delicate-looking woman doing rough mechanic work—that image is so vivid I can see it like a film frame. And the military residential compound! Fang Shuqin dragging Lu Beizhen home by the arm, the sparrows flying off the telephone pole because her voice is so loud, the study with its wooden door that literally comes off its hinges. Every location has texture. The scene where Song Tian is crouched by the roadside outside the base gate, curled up like "a little abandoned kitten," and then Lu Beizhen's shadow falls over her—this is pure cinematic. The lighting, the angle, the power dynamic shifting as she looks up at him. The author doesn't over-describe; they pick the right details and let you fill in the rest. That's how you build a world that feels alive without turning every paragraph into an encyclopedia entry.
It's not the end. It just ended. Too many things left unfinished and unanswered.
I am in love I am so happy with the way you updated everyday could not ask for more you are the first thing I do every morning can’t wait to see what’s next keep up the amazing job
