I wanted this website to grow, and for me to grow with it, but it looks like that's not going to happen. With the lack of a schedule, lack of chapters and good books, the time it takes to upload new books(1 or more months). web novel does not even pick the books we want.. they will pick the books with less than four stars over the books nearly hitting 5... this goes to show that they do not care about the people, but more about the profit.
I like the concept but MC is too arrogant and provoke sect that has powerful cutivators.I think mc will die if that empire's king personally come.but i know even if king came mc will survive .
I will be frank, I like novels with protagonists that are smart but not inhumanly so. The MC seems normal who sometime making mistakes , although I don't like the fact that he thinks with his d*ck around girls but it is a dual cultivation novel, so you know what you signed up for. I also don't like the fact that the system would straight up kill him off, if he didn't complete his missions but when you are iseaked to somewhere you shouldn't be looking for kind gods to give you wishes either but mostly ROB to do something for their own benefits. In this case their entertainment. This novel might not be everyone especially with him having a system that will kill him, so that failure is not an option but I believe this is pretty realistic, I mean why would a god give a f*ck about you. Anyway this novels seems like one where the MC has to work towards his goals and not get everything handed to him.The only criticism I have is thatMC is an old Man with a lot of experience, so please stop him from thinking with his d*ck like a hor*y teenager.
This is very unique and has a lot of potential, I hope he doesnt ruin his superpower by just chasing girls all the time.??????????
I have to talk about the pacing here because this author clearly understands how to keep a reader hooked, and it's not by accident. Let me trace the rhythm of these first three chapters. Chapter 1 opens with arrival, builds tension through the confrontation at the gate, and ends with Gu Ruanci driving away. But here's the genius part: the chapter doesn't end on her departure. It ends on Zhou Zhili slapping his son. That double-slap structure—first Yuzhi slaps away his sister, then his father slaps him for it—creates this incredible kinetic energy that carries you straight into Chapter 2. Chapter 2 is where the pacing shifts. It's more dialogue-heavy, more expository. We get the family dynamics laid out, the stepmother's performance, the grandmother's illness. But the author never lets it drag. Every conversation ends with a new complication: Ye Lanxin arrives, the servant reports the suicide attempt, and suddenly we're sprinting toward Mingzhu Courtyard. The chapter ends with Zhou Zhili ordering guards to 'tie that rebellious girl up and bring her back.' That's a cliffhanger that demands you read the next chapter immediately. Chapter 3 pivots sharply to Gu Ruanci's perspective, and this structural choice is brilliant. After three chapters of watching the family react to her absence, we finally get to see where she actually went. The Zang Residence scene is quieter, more contemplative, but it serves a crucial purpose: it reminds us that Gu Ruanci has her own agenda, her own allies, and her own power. She's not just a victim waiting to be rescued—she's a player in this game. The pacing throughout feels almost musical. There are crescendos of tension (the suicide attempt), moments of respite (the carriage ride to Zang Residence), and then sudden drops back into conflict. I found myself constantly checking the time, telling myself 'just one more chapter,' and then realizing it was 2 AM.
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Hey there!Good day for writing! If you wanted to see whether you can get paid by distributing the current work or getting financial support by writing new work, you might want to contact [email protected]. A brief introduction, some sample chapters or links will be appreciated when reaching out.
You get my supports for this one. The story development is fast, but still doesn’t miss the small parts. The sword is also unique and interesting.
What a crappy translation! the translator should either take a basic grammer/writing class or just pass the translation off to a competent translator like the 25th_chestnut.
An aMazing book
nicely written...
