First and foremost, this is my first review, so please bear with any awkward sentences (as English is not my primary language) and the somewhat unstructured feel of this review.
What I like:
- A very well-crafted magic framework.
- It remains faithful to the Marvel timeline in many aspects.
- The main character (MC) has a consistent perspective and moral code, which he doesn't abandon halfway through.
- The supporting characters feel alive and have their own personalities.
What I don't like:
- It can be challenging to follow the MC's thought processes at times.
- The power levels and structure can be difficult to grasp.
Now, for a more detailed impression on the points above and my personal thoughts:
### Why I Think This Magic Framework Is Very Good
I really appreciate the initial framework and explanations behind how and why the magic works. Even though some elements might seem inspired by other series (like Harry Potter), the author has given this magic system its own unique flavor. By combining different magical frameworks, the author has crafted Jerry's (the MC) personal magic system. Although not every detail is explained, the reader gets a clear understanding of the system through the MC's continuous study and improvement. Up until now, I really enjoy this magic framework, the explanations, the structure, and the journey the reader experiences as the MC strives to improve himself.
### It Stays Close to the Marvel Timeline
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is vast, and with the system the MC possesses, the author has successfully integrated the MCU and various other worlds, each with its own laws and possibilities. The author provides a well-organized and explained structure for these worlds (whether this is original or based on existing MCU content, I'm not entirely sure, so please forgive me if I credit the author unnecessarily). Despite the differences in time and the obvious increase in the MC's strength, the major events of the MCU up to the Age of Ultron timeline remain intact. The MC leaves his mark on these events but remains in the shadows to minimize timeline discrepancies and avoid significant butterfly effects until he is powerful enough.
### MC's Character
While I generally appreciate the MC's consistent viewpoint and fixed goals, I sometimes struggle to understand his character. Although the author mentions that the MC is mentally around 40 years old after reincarnation, he is quite open to killing and torture to achieve his goals. He comes across as cold-blooded and pragmatic, which I find hard to understand due to the lack of backstory or flashbacks to explain his mindset. Personally, I don't mind this aspect because he often seeks more useful solutions that bring long-term benefits, minimizing unnecessary violence. However, he is definitely not your typical reincarnated protagonist.
### Side Characters
The characters unique to this fanfiction have a lively presence and their own reasoning, which I really like. However, they sometimes fade into the background. Due to the MC's extended periods of studying and learning new magics, or traveling to different universes, the side characters, such as his family in the Marvel universe, can be easily forgotten. While I understand why the MC takes so much time away from them to protect them, it still feels like they have minimal impact on the story despite being alive and having their own thoughts.
### Power Structure
Regarding the power levels, the structure is somewhat related to the MCU's hierarchy, but it is also viewed and understood from the MC's perspective. While I generally grasp the different power levels and distinctions, it can be challenging to get a concrete measurement of someone's true strength. Additionally, there is a significant difference between the main universe and the smaller worlds the MC can visit.
### Impression
, I really enjoy the idea and concept behind this series. There are minor issues that some readers might not like, but I personally don't mind them and still find the story engaging. The only real drawback is that minor translation issues can disrupt immersion, especially as you progress further into the series. This is why I give it 4/5 instead of 5/5.

Firstly, let's clarify that our protagonist doesn't have a succubus daughter or a warrior mom. Initially, he becomes entangled with these two characters due to the cruel and evil queen's manipulation. Sent to a remote village, Veirya, the "warrior mom," assumes the role of the lord. She's essentially the hero of humanity, defeating the demon king in the first chapter.
The comparison to "Release That Witch" might be drawn, as both involve a transmigrated MC placed in a desolate area seeking to improve their situation. However, the similarities end there. The MC in this story lacks power, relying on Veirya's authority as she's the hero, lacking emotions and treating him more like a pawn. Veirya's one-dimensional nature as a cold, sword-wielding killing machine often leads to comedic misunderstandings and messes, which the MC tries to rectify.
Throughout the narrative, the MC struggles to manage Veirya's impulsiveness and clean up her aftermath, often being dismissed or mistreated despite his efforts. Then, there's the "yandere succubus" character, whose existence solely serves as fan service, with numerous instances of sexual innuendo and physical interactions that detract from the story.
While "Release That Witch" excels in uplifting the lives of villagers, this story falls short in comparison due to the MC's lack of agency and the unnecessary addition of the yandere succubus character who贴近 the MC romantically. In the end, it's a mixed bag with some aspects better in one story and others in the other.
Lol. the author actually accounted for everything or most of it, but he's stopped writing already since people were complaining about the inconsistencies (the inconsistencies were a part of the story)
Although the author might've also changed somethings, only after he noticed the inconsistencies, who knows... point is, it was all a part of the story.
So far, it's been enjoyable. The dynamic between the main character (MC) and the leading love interest (ML) is quite adorable and a welcome change from the usual angst-filled, fear-induced misunderstandings often seen in BL villain穿越小说. However, I must admit that my initial excitement was somewhat dampened by the straightforward political aspects, as there haven't been any major plot twists or elaborate schemes yet, and judging by the current pace, it seems unlikely to happen.
I would have appreciated a more cunning and ambitious MC, someone closer to the regal King Jing, who captivates with their actions. The MC doesn't quite stand out in that regard. Despite this, the story remains entertaining, even if it fails to meet my heightened expectations. Ultimately, I can't blame it all on the book since my anticipation might have been too high.
It’s in the same multiverse but separate worlds. Don’t worry and just read. This novel is peak. I recommend starting with Deathblade’s official translation of ‘Beyond the Timescape’ as this is a mtl with proofreading

Every novel readers are just machines who feeds on emotions from the novel characters including me
im gonna start this novel tonight, here are a few key things i picked out before i do start.
-the description says "the holder of the hermes system, the gatherer of souls". from what i know this isnt something hermes does, if i had to guess, itd be what thanatos does? or maybe hades.
-i love everything to do with superspeed, and thats why my greatest desire of irl superpowers is the flash's speedforce, so that gets me hyped for this
-the motto "speedster in a fantasy world" as well as the premise of the hermes system/greek god part give me BIG white online (novel) vibes, and that worries me since imo, white online is the worst novel ive ever read
-to add to that last point, i have hope, since i get korean manhwa vibes from the description and it just seems better from the description
i have hopes, wish me luck :)
