Please make MC more like a man!!! I love Lena, one of the best famale character I've seen in romantic novel! But I start to hate MC! I don't have problem with him being shy, but sometime you have to pretend like a man!
at first I just wanted to read the first chapter but I ended up finishing the 12. it's so good. Author, I will speak the truth. you are amazing. now in my library. I've never been this excited to read a book. update plsss...
I have to talk about Shi Muchuan's dialogue because it's so distinctly *him*. The man barely says anything and yet every line carries weight. "Why are you out in the sun instead of resting at home?"—that's not just a question, that's concern wrapped in a scold, and it perfectly establishes his personality. He's a doctor, he's used to giving orders, but there's this underlying softness that keeps coming through. And then the elevator scene! He asks which floor, she says 502, and his hand pauses. Just a pause. He doesn't say anything dramatic, he just presses the button and later says "Go back and rest well" before shutting the door with a bang. The fact that he literally can't bring himself to say "I live across from you" out loud is both hilarious and kind of heartbreaking. This man is a rock of emotional restraint. Yun Shu's voice is equally distinct—bouncy, earnest, a little naive but not stupid. "Living next to a doctor feels super safe"—she says this genuinely and it's adorable. The system's voice is also well-differentiated, with its playful "Meow" and casual observations. Yun Ruizhe's dialogue is the most grounded of all. When he says "No 'but.' Since you don't want to move, then at least get someone to cook for you"—that's a brother who has zero patience for negotiation because he already knows what's best. It's authoritative but loving, and it sounds exactly like an older sibling. The dialogue in the Yun household scenes is sharper, more tense. Yun Shanshan's lines are deliberately bratty and manipulative, and the parents' responses show their guilt and exhaustion. Every character sounds like themselves. That's rare and I appreciate it.
I love this story. Why are there no updates? Very disappointed.
enough now he has to find out they truth and not sleep with her and get Jenna gone
