Completely forgot about this one if not for the peeps who liked my comment 4 months ago lmf**. It came right on time since idk what to read next. Now I'm DEFINITELY reading this.
OMG finally :))
sorry bois its impossible for me to read any novel with female mcs
The author surely done a lot of research to write this novel. Beautifully done. I especially love the last 200 chapters.
The webnovel is dropped. Pretty sure the light novel is still ongoing, there’s a manga too, with an arc that’s not even present on the webnovel. Plus an anime that had 16 episodes or some odd amount.
I’m excited to read this I been putting it off but now its time I get started.
found this novel once again and was surprised it was still this high in the rankings despite being completed for such a long time, (its around 250 rank when im writing this but for how old this novel is I think thats still pretty impressive), anyway just wanted to come and say this is a pretty typical chinese VRMMO novel, definitely an OG in the genre and a good read if you want to get introduced to the common cliches and plotlines in the genre
I've been intending to read this novel for ages, and when I finally did, it left me quite overwhelmed. Despite its exceptional quality, there's one aspect that stands out as a minor criticism – the main character is almost too perfect, with a level of selflessness bordering on being intense, verging on Jesus Christ's level. The plot armor surrounding him feels excessive, making it difficult to believe that despite facing daily dangers, he could ever truly be at risk.
The story's uniqueness and depth are commendable; every action has a rationale, and the characters, including the supporting ones, feel vivid. However, the main character's choices challenge my own morality, especially when he prioritizes saving the world over loved ones. It's stated that his chosen path has the highest probability of success, but if it's not significantly higher than the second-best alternative, it raises questions about his psychological state.
I just needed to express these thoughts. I'll continue reading and perhaps refine my opinion later on.
The storyline was intriguing, and the world-building and subtle horror elements demonstrated the author's diligent research, which added depth to the narrative. However, I found the romantic development between the main character (MC) and the male lead (ML) lacking chemistry. Despite their exceptional qualities, their relationship felt forced, as if it was simply a result of their standout traits, rather than a genuine connection.
Additionally, I observed that the emphasis on the MC's physical attractiveness was excessive, and I couldn't help but notice that some of his triumphs appeared contrived. The novel often portrayed the MC as an über-competent figure, destined to succeed, but it felt like his success was often due to external factors, such as the ML's support or fortuitous circumstances rather than his innate abilities alone.
Nonetheless, I still consider it an excellent novel with a smooth, continuous narrative, and I would definitely recommend it to others. The power dynamics and character motivations could have been more balanced to enhance the authenticity of the MC's character arc.
It's been a long time since the manhwa ended and there hasn't been an update which is sad but even sadder is the fact that the translations don't seem to continue
It’s alright. I’m up to ch 100 . It’s not what I was hoping for . Hopefully it’s gets better later on. So far it’s 6/10. Sigh
haha... ?? ya it was the same for me
