Picked this up randomly for my next review. Please heed the mature rating while reading this story, trigger warnings of abuse and rape.
I honestly hated the prologue, the family's behaviour to MC comes off as too artificially exaggerated and topped off with the rape scene that made me cringe (I personally hate exaggerated abuse and rape scenes). The writing, however, was surprisingly good so I gave it another chance and decided to follow my typical ritual of reading to chapter 10 before reviewing. I actually read on for more than that before reviewing in the end.
I have to admit, this story is a diamond in the rough. Up until where I left off, the MC is still an immature girl trying to play a game she thought she knew the rules to. To point out specifically, she was still emotionally stunted despite her age, typical for someone who went through abuse and trauma. Her charcater is realistic, and she does suffer from the consequences of her own actions. That was much appreciated since most stories tends to gloss over that for their protagonist. She has potential to be a properly fleshed out strong MC in the future.
Story wise, world building and background is lacking, but that's not exactly the focus of the story. You know enough and it doesn't hinder the plot overall. I like that she stays in the world longer because she has multiple targets. Hopefully there will be more world building when an interesting world comes around.
Obviously, there are plot holes and cliches. I also appreciate that the author doesn't wave the rape trauma all over the reader's face to solicit sympathy for the MC. The insidious undertones is also another nice touch to the story. Overall, it is a surprisingly good read and has potential to be better. Keep up the good work, it's going into my library.
It's an apocalypse zombie survival harem novel do I really need to say anymore about this than I already did?Well I just hope the author doesn't drop it off in the middle because he lost his muse(inspiration). It's actually a pretty decent not very good but not bad either got room for improvement. Keep up the good work ??
Hey there!Good day for writing! If you wanted to see whether you can get paid by distributing the current work or getting financial support by writing new work, you might want to contact [email protected]. A brief introduction, some sample chapters or links will be appreciated when reaching out.
I'm really enjoy this twist on wuxia novels, bringing in elements of a different cultural context... definitely a novelty. I'm eager to see how the story continues to develop
I'm just here to write a review because the author's sheer confidence. It's something I haven't seen in a long time. Fun Joke: Dad on his death bed: Son, I have to tell you somethingSon under his breath: I bet I’m adoptedDad: You were ado...Dad diesSon: Knew itDad wakes up: You were adorable as a babyDad diesSon: A***, thats so sweetDad wakes up: That’s why we adopted you
Author here.I hope this story is to your liking, and I apologise for the slow update. I just wanted to do longer chapters so it takes longer to write and edit... Would appreciate a vote or comment and any constructive criticism is welcomed.Suggestions are appreciated and may find their way into a side plot or storyline so please. Thanks
Dropped hardPositive: Translated very well. Just minor grammar mistakes- Background/secondary characters are more relatable then the MC (except the usual Novel 'enemies' who's IQ dropped like a rock)- 'Pokemon' fight scene is nicely written- The story has a nice flow and you can really understand and follow the story... ish. Has a nice idea but horrible execution. Explanation and reasoning bellow. ________________Negative: MC and the system and authors brain- MC in the beginning still behaves like a normal person who was transported to a new world. Good reasoning to try and repair relationship with sibling cause original Persona of the body was a dick.Suddenly System appears and story goes stupid.- Mix Pavlov + Stockholm Syndrome + Dumb author ideas/interpretation of a relationship.- system threatens MC with punishment if MC can't accomplish Quest/Mission. These with literal Torture (lighting that was triggered) or promise of Oblivion (erase Memories and deletions)- MC, under pressure, must train a rat where they both can die infinately but both experience how they died.MC trains rat among super monsters that the rat constantly dies. And when rat feels tired after fighting and beating a monster, MC kills rat to safe time cause when rat is reborn it's fully energetic again.- afterwards owner of rat comes to collect the rat and suddenly MC is totally emotionally attached to rat and gets angry/jealous why rat jumps for joy to the nonviolent pet owner.Story has nothing to do with Pet Store after a while. It's all about the food and training pet for others. Nothing about being a pet shop owner and it's development. Personal not sure if Author even knows what it's like have a pet.
Honestly it could be better, besides the cover art you can’t really imagine what most of the characters look like for example, I don’t know what you want me to imagine when it comes to Sophia or Grin Scurvy as you didn’t describe what they look like as a character
