This book is by far another one of my favorites, wasn’t sure about the dark romance but it’s definitely worth reading, I really don’t think I’ve ever read anything quite like this, and it’s very interesting…the character development is really strong, that you start out hating Agnarr, but love him!

I need to talk about Wen Shihan because this man is a whole mood and I'm obsessed. For twenty years Xia Zhi only saw him as this cold, distant, terrifying boss. Stern. Authoritative. The kind of man who could make grown employees cry by looking at them. But then—boom—she sees him smiling. Not a polite corporate smile, but an actual warm smile while watching the kids play. And it hits her like a truck. This moment where he stops her from intervening when the kids are wrestling and says 'they are just playing, not fighting'—that's not just dad energy, that's a man who has learned to balance everything in his life, from running a company to raising a family. The text says he applies 'the art of balance even in family relationships' and I think that's the most Wen Shihan thing ever. Also the kids are clearly shipping their parents HARD. Wen Lun pushing his dad toward Xia Zhi, Wen Le yelling 'hold hands'—these kids are wingmen with agendas. And the way Wen Shihan just... accepts it? He doesn't scold them, he says 'ignore them' but he still walks with Xia Zhi to the store. He's softening. The relationship between these two has this beautiful layer where Xia Zhi is still slightly terrified of him ('one more second of eye contact might increase her chances of being strangled') but she's also starting to see the human underneath the CEO exterior. And Wen Shihan? He's navigating this weird new reality where his wife is the boss now, financially speaking.
I can't express how much I love it; this storyline is incredibly emotional, and the characters are superbly developed. I devoured the entire book in just two days and couldn't put it down until I finished. If you enjoy emotional rollercoasters with heart-wrenching love stories, you should definitely give it a try.
The narrative is unfolding at a sluggish pace, resembling more of a slice-of-life tale. By chapter 24, the primary focus revolves around the MC's encounter with a girl survivor and their determination to conceal the skills they acquired from another world. Her fear of abandonment serves as a constant emotional weight on the MC. They could easily bring her along, fending off zombies together, but the secret they must keep stands in the way.
Oh maybe i didn't know about the cutout stuff but certainly many manhwas that I've read i would prefer their manhwa version over their novel one i mean who would say no to sick art and cool fight scenes

Drop at chapter 8. The mc is submissive type. He help a guy who scamming him for the pass 5year with his hard-earn money that he work for 12h+ a day. He save the guy by reavealing his secret ability which will make him a test subject/plaything if the witch find out and he's doing it infront of a witch. Not to mention he come with bullsht that the scammer should live cuz it doesn't fair to kill guy bla bla. While mf act all arrogant infront of a witch who could kill him with 1 finger. And become submissive for the guy who scamming him. There are more horrible thing he do but ill stop here

Reading this novel, I found myself engrossed, losing track not of my own time but the story's timeline, which alternates between slow, deliberate pacing that enhances the plot, and sudden shifts. I would love to see more stories like this, as they provide immense enjoyment for readers like myself.

this novel is very good, i recommend it for people who like "greetings, ninth uncle" and "rebirth of the malicious empress of military lineage"
although the novel is not finished yet i already like the story. I don't know how many chapters there are but i like the story very much.
