Was honestly very excited for the first 40 or so chapters, unfortunately the story feels incredibly bogged down bu the terrible secret identity execution and the logical leaps such as “i want my wife to be successful on her own, so I’ll just support her behind her back to invalidate her efforts” I’m paraphrasing but it can’t help but feel like that. Even if you think the story would end if the mc were to reveal his identity you can’t justify dragging out unnecessary and mind numbing segments of character development for no reason.Overall: Strong start but i prefer reasonable characters and good pacing.
It's been a while since I've been spooked this much. This is definitely a great horror novel! While other horror stories tend to lose their scare factor after a few chapters, this one takes ahold of your interest and keeps you wrapped in that lingering sense of creepiness and fear. I stumbled upon this story at night and was rather chill about it at first. I mean, how scary can a webnovel be? Then I realized how foolish I was. Now, I can no longer sleep soundly. It's like I feel eyes staring at me as I slumber. If you are brave, give it a read as it is worth it. But please proceed with caution. ?
Slow at first, but with an interesting hook at the start. The more you read, the more you want to know what the next chapter brings. I last wrote a review on this novel but just over 40 chapters in. I'll say it again, this is just something you have to sit down and read. Especially if you enjoy a world with some realistic standards on mysticism, at least it doesn't portray anything magic related to be unbelievably op. Technology is at a steampunk Victorian era/setting with interesting tid-bits of knowledge on a number of daily expectations towards the living standards of the actual Victorian era. Now moving towards 90+ chapters I've fallen in love with this novel. Seeing as the released amount of chapters is increasing, at least for the moment. I'm always stoked, coming back for more every single day; only to feel disappointing when I've read through the one to two chapters that I get.Sit down, read it, enjoy it; if it's not up your alley, I invite you to come back and read it another time. The interesting twists of mystery, magic, steampunk and the tid-bits of horror and suspense make this story great if you're willing to sit down and really bite down into this fantastic bit of fiction.
Well in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking at this matter in a different way and without fighting and by trying to make it clear, and by considering each and everyone's opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.
Frustrating. All of this authors works are frustrating and unnecessarily convoluted. I don't get why someone who could easily write a decent story would make his MC's suffer all the time. While it is normal for progression stories to do this, there needs to be a balance. A sufficient breath of relief, even a small victory would have suffice. But no, this is just the same as all his novels and can be described by one word: Depressing.
The story and plot is decent the story flow is okay update decent translation ok hehe best of the best.I really don't know what should I write well it's a good novel.
