Wonderful story. had me glued to my screen
I absolutely loved this! I can't find the MTL translation for the extras, but I adored the main story! The "love" between the main character (MC) and male lead (ML) is really unique to me and incredibly refreshing compared to other danmei novels. I definitely want to read this again once the translations are complete, and I hope I can read the extras too because I'm so curious about what happens next for our main couple! Definitely give this a read! ?
This is truly a fantastic book; the author has done an outstanding job with almost every aspect of it. The level of detail is astounding, and I am impressed by how resourceful this novel is. Typically, when multiple worlds are featured in a single story, they are only briefly touched upon, but not here. Whether it's cooking, medicine, military, clothing, etc., the author manages to present the story with deep knowledge in every area. While it may not follow the structure of a conventional novel, this is already amazing to me. Kudos to the author.
Sadly, the translation is only up to chapter 149, with around 400 more chapters to go. I hope to be able to read it all the way through. Thank you to the translator as well; your work is amazing ?.
Just a quick reminder: it's best to avoid spoilers. You'll miss out on the joy of reading this book if you do. It's worth taking your time to savor it.

Pretty good novel. The plot is quite engaging, and the main character (MC) is very strategic in his planning. Things generally work out for him thanks to a mix of his meticulous preparation and a bit of plot armor. I disagree with those who find the relationship with Wanxi unrealistic. Given that she has been abused throughout her life and rarely shown kindness, it makes sense that she would cling to the MC when he treats her well, even if it’s an unhealthy dynamic. As for the MC, he openly admits to being a scumbag, so he’s not trying to be a good guy. His actions that readers often criticize make more sense when viewed from this perspective, as he was never intended to be a nice person.
For example, framing the original novel’s MC.
I appreciate how the heroines have distinct personalities. However, I did take off one star because I feel bad for Yan Ruyue, and Qiao Siying can be quite annoying. The stock market subplot also felt unnecessary, but it’s not a major issue. , it’s a pretty solid novel with excellent translation.
This romantic tale stands out from the usual genre, deviating from conventional narratives. With its intricate twists and turns, "The Phoenix Departs" offers a refreshing take on the typical romance plot. For those seeking a novel with a unique and unpredictable storyline, I wholeheartedly suggest giving it a read.
If what your saying is true, you deserve nothing but respect. You are a true man of honor and I am grateful that someone like you is in here give this advice
The storyline received an 8 out of 10 for its engaging narrative. The main characters (MC) and the love interest (ML) truly complement each other through their journey, with their bond serving as their strength against their adversaries. The most amusing part is the constant antics of those surrounding their couple dynamic, particularly when Doctor Li Chang Ning teases Wei Kai. Li Chang Ning humorously remarks, "If a dog becomes emotionally volatile and bites or howls randomly, it's actually a sign of attraction," leaving Wei Kai confused, asking, "What do you mean???" Li Chang Ning playfully responds, "Oh, nothing. Just sharing my expertise in both human and animal health." This exchange elicits laughter.
