This book is so so good. Can’t wait for more updates!!
Okay, let's talk about Lin Tingjun and Xu Jingchu for a second because THIS is where the story is actually happening. Not the grand drama, not the rebirth setup—those little domestic moments. The fried egg scene? I literally sat there staring at my screen. She makes him a RUINED fried egg on purpose because he was cold to her the night before, and then he eats it and thinks it's delicious. She's being petty and he has no idea. That's not romance, that's something way more interesting—that's two people who don't even understand each other yet, circling around something neither will name. And then there's Tingjun's dream. A whole paragraph about her legs and him waking up sweating. He calls it a "normal physiological reaction" like that's gonna fix anything. Bro, you're not fooling anyone, least of all yourself. The author didn't even need to make it explicit—just the fact that he's distracted, slamming his pen down, unable to concentrate on his formulas... that's the whole romance arc in miniature. But what really got me was the family dynamics. Qin Yajuan's resentment toward Xu Jingchu isn't just petty jealousy—it's two lifetimes of accumulated bitterness. "Two lifetimes and she's still just as unlikable as ever." Oof. That line hit different. And then there's Tingyu, this sweet kid who genuinely adores Xu Jingchu and calls her the best person in the house. The contrast between how Tingjun treats her (cold, distant, flustered) and how Tingyu treats her (warm, admiring, playful) says everything about the emotional landscape of this house. The CP tension is there, but it's buried under layers of pride, duty, and misunderstanding. And I'm HERE for it.
It took me a while to get into the story. I only finished it because I paid for the coins.
I can't get enough!
Great series
nice storyline. Keep up the good work!
This book needs to be edited so bad, it would really be a nice book if shiznit were fixed. There are repeated chapters, and information that is left out, it causes a lot of confusion.
Edward and Ellie’s story is so emotional! I love how he sees beyond her struggles and values her for who she is. But I’m worried about Ellie’s past ruining everything. Fingers crossed they can overcome it together!
author can you release at least two chapters a day please ...
Loving this book!
