Okay so let me just say — the WeChat thing had me SCREAMING. Xia Chu thought Jiang Ran was some kind of playboy adding random girls, but it was actually Lin Yuqing's phone and he was trying to help his friend find a girlfriend?? The irony is so thick you could cut it with a knife. And then when Xia Chu finds out, she immediately offers to add Jiang Ran too, and he's like 'NOT ADDING~' while secretly adding her. The plot twists in this chapter are so satisfying — every time I thought I understood where things stood, the author flipped it. Hong Yue's jealousy subplot is also quietly building, especially that moment at the school gate where her nails dug into her palms. The story feels really tight, like every scene is pushing the main romance forward while layering in secondary conflicts. The only thing I'm slightly worried about is whether the Hong Yue thread will get resolved or just abandoned, but so far the narrative feels coherent and purposeful.
