Really lovely book with such a cool narrative. Still reading
This is a very good work. But, this omega as far as I am concerned is a drama queen. I can't blame her, really.........
Amazing story
"The red envelope contained two yuan—a significant sum for Father He, far more than what any of his five grandsons or one granddaughter had ever received." I keep coming back to this moment. Two yuan. Given with great reluctance. But he gave it anyway because his granddaughter deserved it. That's the whole He family in a single gesture—tight financially, yes, but love isn't measured in currency. The grandmother's response too, how she tries to politely refuse, how she acknowledges the vegetables and sweet potatoes they already brought. There's this whole dance of reciprocity and face between the two families that feels so authentically Chinese, so deeply rooted in how relationships actually work. And then Qiao Jiajia, transmigrated soul and all, still manages to beam and say 'Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa!' with genuine warmth. She may have been reborn into this body, but she doesn't treat her new family as disposable. She loves her mother He Yingying, and that love extends to He Yingying's parents. It's a small thing, this red envelope exchange, but it's loaded with so much emotional weight. Family obligation and genuine affection braided together. I also loved the godmother dynamic with Shu Meilan—she made that dress with so much motivation just from imagining how pretty Jiajia would look in it. That's the kind of chosen family love that doesn't need blood relations to be real.
I can't see chapters 2622 and 2623. Does anyone else have the same issue? can you please upload them again?
LOVE this steamy book! The characters are well thought out, and the plot is EXCITING. A must read!
Love this book!! The whole series has been the best books I’ve read on this app. And this book is definitely one of my favorites from the series.
pretty good for G rated!
I am starting to enjoying it but the mistake made of addressing he/She jumbled up is frustrating.
5 star, spectacular reading
