He tolerates a spy heroine who tries to poison him (a false accusation), yet fiercely rejects the approach of a saintly heroine, perceiving her as a threat to his plans. This inconsistency becomes apparent in how he deals with conflicts: instead of addressing issues proactively, he takes unnecessary risks, like endangering everyone's lives to deal with explosions or protecting a cruel general at the cost of innocent lives due to the opposing side's desperation.
The novel currently lacks depth, with the MC being passive and inconsistent, the protagonist portrayed as a heartless killing machine, the academy inefficient, the kingdom faction cowardly and cruel, and the empire faction arrogant and cruel. The heroines are the only redeeming aspect since they haven't committed any extreme actions yet, but the author's hope for them to bring reason to the story seems uncertain. Overall, the narrative appears to be a messy and unlikable mess.
