Let me just say — the pacing here is absolutely perfect and I need to talk about why. We open with Madam Yao Qian's scheming, which establishes the ongoing threat. Then we cut to Shen Xinyan in the carriage, already relieved but already worried about implicating someone else. That's efficient — we get her emotional state in one beat. Then A-Man drops the strategy talk, which is the intellectual core of the chapter. Then the journey to the west district, which builds atmosphere and tension. Then the Zhao Er revelation, which is an emotional pivot. Then arriving at the blacksmith shop and immediately hearing Li Datou's furious roar. The chapter doesn't let up. Every section transitions into the next without a single wasted moment. The author could have spent pages on Shen Xinyan's internal monologue about whether to go to the blacksmith shop, but instead we get one line of nervousness and then she just goes. That's good pacing — show the hesitation, don't dwell on it. And the chapter ends on Li Datou's confrontation, which is a perfect hook. We don't know what happens next. Is he going to cause trouble for Shen Xinyan? Does he recognize her? The tension is maintained throughout because every scene raises a new question or deepens an existing one. No dragging, no filler. Just forward momentum.

So far it is good
It is a good story...but so many errors about names of the characters, mixing up the her, she, he, him, his and it got a bit confusing at times. Need to improve on the editor's aspects and proof-reading. Also it could improve on factual accuracy about places. Otherwise it's really a good plot.
What a beautiful story as words can not describe how good this book is!
