Enjoyable story from beginning to end
This is a fantastic book, But not happy that it hasn’t been finished..
the book makes interesting research reading, looking forward to learning more about the life of the wolf and demon
short, sweet and lovely story beautiful woven
Let me just say—the pacing in this section is absolutely masterful. The author takes us from Su Banxia's clumsy yoga practice in the living room to a full-blown thief chase in an alley, and somehow it all flows naturally. There's no jarring transition; each scene builds on the last. The chapter opens with this quiet, almost comedic moment—Su Banxia forcing down unpalatable boiled cabbage, practicing yoga, dreaming about becoming beautiful and slim. It's intimate, personal, almost mundane. Then she takes the bus, has this awkward encounter with Zhang Xiaolan, does her shopping... and suddenly there's a thief on the loose. The shift from domestic tranquility to action is seamless. What I love is how the author uses the bus ride as a pacing device. The twenty-minute bumpy ride gives us time to establish the relationship between Su Banxia and Zhang Xiaolan, shows us Su Banxia's internal thoughts about being avoided because of her gambling reputation, and then BOOM—she forgets items and has to leave them on the bus, which leads to her discovering the theft. The chase scene itself is perfectly paced. Su Banxia sprints, the thief runs into an alley, pulls a knife, and then—action. The kick, the stomping on his hand, the hair-pulling. It's fast, visceral, and satisfying. Then the aftermath with Zhang Xiaolan's gratitude, the bus conversation, the women gossiping in the compound... the author knows exactly when to slow down and when to speed up. And that ending with Jiang Guo'an showing up at her door? Perfect cliffhanger. I need to know what happens next.
Sweet, funny, with a touch of drama. Beautiful characters and storyline.
Love this book. Can’t wait for the next chapters
This book has had me on the edge of my seat and is one that I couldn't put down until I was caught up! I've been checking for updates multiple times a day to see what happens next!??
Good story but not enough closure. I agree with the other reader, there's a few open issues unresolved.
Sandra deserves what's coming to her and more. Let's see how she'll get the company while in jail. Good riddance!
absolutely love it
I really like this story. When is the next book and what is the name
