Favorite one yet! To think I almost skipped this book.
This novel is an outstanding work of art. It transports me to a captivating alternate reality, where I find myself falling in love deeply. I have lost count of how many times I've revisited this story - the interactions between the main character (MC) and the male lead (ML) are so engaging that it's almost too much to handle. The sibling dynamics, particularly the bond between the MC brothers, elicit laughter and delight – their playful banter due to their shared "dreams" adds an extra layer of charm.
The narrative unfolds when Shi Jin (the protagonist) wakes up in someone else's body, only to discover that he has been transported into a complex family-centric novel. Driven by his desire to protect and support "his" family, Shi Jin embarks on a journey that becomes increasingly intriguing and thrilling as he encounters the ML. Every turn of events keeps readers eagerly engaged in this extraordinary tale.
I truly adore this novel... and I absolutely adore Shi Jin ❤️. The main character has an endearing personality - he's adorable, intelligent, sometimes serious yet gentle, and always humorous. His interactions with the system are heartwarming and friendly, which sets it apart from other stories where the system is either non-existent, mistreated, or irritating.
As for the male lead (ML), he's quite normal – not overly jealous or possessive like some others. It was a pleasant change for me, as his maturity and level-headedness are a plus. I've only encountered three of Shi Jin's original siblings so far, and they seem enigmatic, but I believe they have good intentions for now.
The plot keeps me engaged – it's like solving a captivating puzzle. The translation is clean and easy to follow, making the reading experience enjoyable. Kudos to the translator and their team for their hard work ❤️❤️❤️.
In summary, this novel is a real gem – I highly recommend giving it a try.
If you're simply seeking a casual read to kill time, this might be a decent option. It lacks a substantial plot, so I indulged out of curiosity to see how it concludes. The novel neither utterly disappointed nor fully satisfied me – I guess I crave more depth. By the way, the protagonist claims to have a villainous appearance, but as the story unfolds, it appears the author overlooked that detail, and those around him perceive him as amiable.
Though, I agree that the simplicity in its writing makes up for it given how easy it is to digest the information, that is true for entry level novels. If I were to recommend a novel for beginners, then this would be among my considerations.

Though I am deeply infatuated with the eloquence in the writing for Jackal Among Snakes, I am quite conflicted with the plot. Hero of Darkness is unique though I do feel iffy about certain aspects. Villain Retirement is entertaining. Mother of Learning is great as well. Love the games of politics in Kingdom's Bloodline. Love the MC in The Villain Wants to Live, but I need more. Throne of M.A. is great if accompanied with music.
This novel disappointed me more than Steven He disappointed his father in his videos. The start was super good then it just turned to the generic fast lvl up mc who can fight above his lvl and same all cliches. Don't read it if you have high expectations and think it will be different from other novels. It's the same with just a good beginning. They first show Isabella as evil then show that she was forced to be evil. It was a horrible experience reading the same old cliche story when you are expecting it to be good.
I get your point too. I hope we can see some good romance in web novels. Funny thing, I have rarely seen a scuffle or fight between couples in most of the novels. It is enough to tell the standard of real romance here.
