We go from mundane newsroom work—deadlines, equipment, intern gossip—straight into the most emotionally devastating reunion possible in under 2000 words. No warm-up, no slow burn. Just: she's clipping a mic, looks up, and her entire past is standing in front of her. That's incredible economy of storytelling. The author doesn't waste a single beat. Xia Qing's fangirling provides comic relief that actually works because it contrasts with Wen Yan's internal earthquake. Then the phone drop, the hallway confrontation, the 'I don't know her' lie—each moment builds on the last like dominoes. Chapter 2 shifts gears into the dinner scene, which is a masterclass in social tension. Every line of dialogue carries double meaning. The wine toast, the hand-wiping, Jiang Wantang's failed flirtation—these aren't filler, they're landmines. The chapter ends mid-toast with Qi Siye pressing his hand over hers, and I need to know what happens next immediately. One concern: the exposition dump about the Xie family (patriarch, eldest son, internet company) feels slightly convenient, but it's delivered through Wen Yan's thoughts so it works. The structure is tight. I'm not complaining.
This was my first time reading a sports genre story, and I love how detailed it was. It really helped me understand what track and field sports are all about. It's so good!

The original main storyline of this novel has been completed. I just finished reading this novel. I personally think the plot is good, whether it is romance or adventure. By the way, I like Adeshan very much. Adeshan is the best girl.
I appreciate stories with overpowered (OP) protagonists and those with complex characters like the black-bellied type. However, this particular narrative has lost its appeal for me. The protagonist's overwhelming power feels excessive, almost out of touch with reality, as it often places him on a pedestal, which doesn't resonate with my enjoyment of the story. Initially, it was engaging, but now it feels formulaic and lacking depth. If you're looking for a light, comforting read, this might still be worth a try, but it's not what I find appealing anymore.
Trash garbage and all the insult you can throw... the only good thing might be the seggs scene but... Everyone have different preference

Honestly, calling the system Peerless Genius System or Genius Without Equal is quite an exaggeration. The novel doesn't live up to the name. The system mainly focuses on granting the protagonist combat-oriented abilities, and when it does offer so-called genius skills, they often serve as plot devices for face-slapping storylines. For instance, after the MC uses his mystical Dragon Fist technique to defeat his foes, he might receive an "Ultimate Calligraphy Skill" notification. However, this leads to an encounter with an old master who challenges the MC's knowledge, claiming he knows nothing about calligraphy. The MC, feeling slighted, tries to prove himself by creating a masterpiece, only to have the old master criticize his use of ink and paper. This sets off a series of events involving a family member of one of the oldies, who had a distant relationship with the MC due to his secretive nature and past heartbreak. The system secretly manipulates this relative's intelligence, making them fall in love with the MC, but he refuses to act on it until he forces a relationship or they consummate.
This arc stretches over 100 chapters, packed with unnecessary drama. I wouldn't recommend this book because there are many better urban system novels out there, if you just take the time to explore. I've read it to save you from having to endure such content, as all readers deserve better material.
