Okay so I really like Gourmet of Another world type stories and from the summary I thought that the mc would be feeding literal ghosts on the side, ya know, like a supernatural horror cooking thing in modern times. Spoiler. It’s not. Very sad. Anyway the story is pretty much placed in a Food Wars parody. Which is sort of cringe in my opinion. They use the same characters and stuff like the school and gourmet associations etc. The MC (a bit like Soma from Foodwars) has a small family restaurant run by his gramps- except the old man literally didn’t teach him how to cook until like a day after he got his cooking system. The cooking system is pretty straightforward- be the best- and it seems a lot more versatile and useful than some other systems but not too OP. Unlike Food Wars MC doesn’t want to go to the fancy cook school and just wants to run the restaurant. I quite like MC’s personality which is far more active than Bu Fang’s from Gourmet of Another World. He seems more positive and it’s clear that he’s quite hardworking. I’ve read more than I thought I would because I don’t mind seeing his journey as a chef but... the Food Wars references which I thought was a fun easter egg at first became a full blown thing and I don’t know, it’s like meh to me. I’ll keep it around 4* since the pacing isn’t bad, the mc is like able enough, the cooking description is very good and if you can get over the food war thing overall it’s a good read to pass the time....I still want a supernatural cooking story in the modern world tho QAQ

Weird. Fascinating. A good horror story with a right amount of gore (not explicit) and all weird stuff that makes you feels uncomfortable as you read more about it. It is just like the title, it is a garlic soup, some people will like it, some people won't, some won't even touch it, some may try for the taste.Here, takes this solid 5* from me.
okay so who is the real MC? Are they swapping perspective equally between the two, or is it more heavily sided towards the male MC?And is the swapping perspectives annoying? please let me know, thank you.
I kind get why this story has so little views even with the number of chapters.Listen man i get that you’re a newbie writer and i commend you for your work both for the writing style and the amount of chapters.,heck even the genre of world traveling is dope. But!I just started the novel and so i need to be hooked so what do you do? You introduce an extremely hateful and annoying character at the start.Then? You make the mc’s first enemy into his love interest... now i get that the second one is not necessarily bad heck even good if done right.But you just messed up her character and made it seem as if she is an ice queen then and extremely warm person then a sadist that likes to slap anyone who mentions her sister to her which is extremely ****ed to be honest as a normal human much less a man wouldn’t fucking stand by if someone slapped him for no reason but you made the mc not only not rebuke her but also just apologize to her and hug her to make her feel all better..... that made quite angry. Huff i don’t want to be too harsh to a budding writer since I understand that you’re doing you best and for that i commend you but i just shared with you what i felt from the first 40 chapters and so this would be extremely good feedback to you.I lost all desire to continue after he hugged her when she slapped him like who the **** does that? Anyway hope you all the best.
it's a good book, it's a good book the Mc is well written the story is well-paced all in all it's a great cultivation novel so 7/10 for the Mc 9/10 for the cultivation 8/10 for the writing 6/10 for the story so far. more to come as i read
