I started reading these chapters on a Tuesday night and it is now Wednesday morning and I have not slept. Here's why: the pacing is masterful. The author knows exactly when to slow down and when to accelerate, and they use both techniques deliberately. The early chapters move at a leisurely pace—cooking, applying medicine, gardening—and that slowness is intentional. It builds intimacy. We're not just watching two people interact; we're living alongside them, day by day, as their relationship deepens. But then the author drops a bomb: Qin Yue arrives. And suddenly everything changes. The pace quickens. The tension spikes. The domestic bliss is interrupted by external conflict, and we're left hanging. The chapter ends right at the moment of maximum tension—Qin Xiao's protective instinct flaring, Qinghe's reaction uncertain, and the reader desperate to turn the page. What I love most is how the author uses scene transitions. The rain comes and goes quickly, mirroring the emotional shifts. The garden work takes three days in the narrative, but it feels like a whole chapter of its own because the author lingers on the small details. And that interrupted kiss? The timing is PERFECT. Just when we're all breathless, BAM—"Big Brother! Big Brother!" It's like the author looked at us and said, "You thought this was going to be easy?" a confusing story started off with Cheska having an awful mother and her mother's boyfriend and she was made to marry the rich guy called Prince.
them it changed to a poor college guy called Prince who was Cheskas brothers best friend now that story had happy ending. not sure what 2 the 1st one
