There was such initial potential, but it ultimately fell short, cloaked within a popular trend. The protagonist, a beta male with divine abilities, is certainly not a unique concept (what's going on with Japanese writers? Do they really perceive their young characters like this? It's overdone). Placing him in an RPG setting and having him actively shun his powers feels contradictory. The reason for granting him these powers remains unclear. That aspect just didn't resonate with me. Others have expressed similar sentiments. One might find some enjoyment in it if they search hard, but there are countless other stories with more engaging narratives. In summary, I'd describe this as平淡 and lacking excitement.
Hmm, I'm still unsure if the title truly fits the story, since the male lead isn't exactly an extreme yandere, but he does shower the main character with immense affection. I enjoy the tale, but I can only give it four stars. I'm not entirely sure why – perhaps it's because their love feels so intense that it's overwhelming. It's quite amusing how I find myself analyzing my own thoughts. Anyway, their deep love is undeniable.
Here's a little tidbit: when the characters were on the verge of their first intimate moment, with the confession, the tension building up, and my emotional state at the time, it actually brought me to tears. That scene was a tearjerker for me.
