Ptui! This author's style is all about selling his integrity for immediate cheap thrills. Everything is retconned as soon as possible, even his body shape. It even happens from paragraph to paragraph; he'll clearly use a technique to boost his damage and then the next sentence he'll say "he didn't even use a technique!" Tangentially related, the name of the novel is Permanent Martial Arts, but the MC avoids martial arts like the plague. It's all just punching as hard as he can with no respect for martial arts. Only with the most dismissive and cynical eye could someone say that martial arts is only about punching hard. There's even some exposition about how martial arts is more than just hitting hard and then he continues to just do that. World background is pretty cool, it'd probably be like a 4 if it wasn't inconsistent. Superman exists as a fictional character. There are westerners and Asians despite it not being Earth. Technology is all over the place; it's just advanced until it's not for impact reasons.Character design is okay. I like the romance because it's so muted and feels kind of real. It's very reasonable for young people to not even know why they like each other. Specifically, it's nice to see other people have relationships. I actually don't mind harem novels, but my problem with them is usually only the MC can get all the best girls. It's great to see an MC with friends and that those friends have their own lives. Translation quality isn't bad. It's very readable with only some minor issues.Despite all of it's problems, I'm still reading >.>
Due to either poor translation or editing what could be a decent novel is hard to understand and is some parts do not make sense.
Gosh dang it! I need a Lily in my life. She is so adorable that you can’t help but want to spoil her and love her. She is, as you say, perfect! I wasn’t sure how I would like this story, but I love it! Damian needs to marry that girl!
it's a good story but unfortunately it's way to hard to read due to the poor translation
its a very meh story you can skip 20 or more chapters and you would still be able to understand what's going on.

So having read past chapter 80 I feel fully confident in giving my review. This book is not enjoyable to read, and the reason why is somewhat hard to spot. The biggest flaw is that I, as a reader, actively want Kael to die. He is a whiny, crybaby who got what he deserved.
He says that he suddenly has trust for women again after his mom had stepped out on his dad...but why? He trusts two women, one of whom had a child with another man.
None of the reasoning seems to hold together very well. The dark elements are done really well, but they don't seem to ever be in the forefront.
The universe itself is fairly decent, a good story could definitely grow from these basic story roots, but it never does. While it is possible that Kael eventual grows a set of testicles, I find that very unlikely. Even if he does, these 80 chapters are not salvageable.
I have not read many novels from this site, but this one has left me very impressed. I am currently at chapter 142, despite the tracker placing me at Ch 0. Lets first quickly go over what this novel is not:
This is not a battle filled 'I must become stronger' novel, if you had any such illusion after reading the description, please discard that notion.
So what is this novel? Slice of life/romance is as close I can get, with some drama mixed in.
It is a story about the lives of a group of people who meet in a game and become friends, and maybe more. The things they do in the game are there to show aspects of personality and to tell you their actual life stories, they are not the true focus of the story. I find it very refreshing to find a VR themed novel taking its time to develop a story outside the virtual world, while inside the virtual world.
Additionally, considering its value in a broader sense than just the entertainment industry. VR is already used to train in a number of skills, there are certainly medical applications such as recovering from mental trauma.
The writing quality is outstanding with few to no repetitions or overused words. I also admire the dedication in not writing specific things and letting the reader figure it out alone. Thank you, author, for your confidence in your readers. We want to be teased, we want hints and allusions, we want sudden surprises that cause what came before to suddenly make sense. It is much harder to write like that, so my respect for the story so far.
The character design is good. There are few flat characters and those are the 'villager A' types. Recurring characters have complex personalities. Not complex as in hard to understand, but complex as in not having just one reaction pattern. A meek person gets snappy when stressed and tired and a shy person can get surprisingly playful and assertive when around people (s)he trusts.
The only minus points are in the world building. The real world, the game world and the 'rules' of the game are mostly left alone. I do appreciate the points mentioned before, acknowledging that VR wouldn't be used for 'only' entertainment. You can have a job interview in VR. The story could play 'anywhere'... well as long as it snows in the area. At this point I have no idea if Danika is living in a big or a small city, what the area is like and I finally found out there is a sort of janitor/caretaker! (I'd have to look back for it to find the exact word and I'm too lazy). The game world is similarly vague with parts added/explored as needs for the story. I think it is absolutely fine for what the story seems to aim for, but it does mean I cant give it a full score.
This has gotten slightly longer than I intended. I will now enjoy the rest of the novel until I am caught up with the current update.

This Novel is a gem, especially for gamers who like to be a support character. Or a healer.
And this suit me very well, since i ALWAYS pick non combatants class, but not a crafter too.
This is a slice of life story about a genius musician who love wholeheartedly to music and the instruments, but not naive. They wonder the game world to spread joy and sorrow with music as their medium to tell their story straight to listener heart.
That's all about it. Since i don't want to spoil the story plot.
This story ain't perfectly written, and maybe not your fav, especially to chunnin reader. Since MC is a pacifist. But, being a pacifist isn't mean a cowardice. As Corporal Desmond T Doss from US prove it in WW2.
I can only say, it's good, worth giving a try... Well, the number of chapters is not very much that's the only downfall. Love it hope you update daily.
