This marks my inaugural review, so please bear with me. Initially, the first 100 chapters were truly exceptional. However, around chapter 100, the repetitive nature began to set in, which I initially attributed to the intended storytelling loop. Alas, chapters 100 to 200 fell significantly short. A new harem appeared, linked to the protagonist through past lives, and it was revealed that the MC is a god's reincarnation. While this revelation wasn't terrible on its own, it felt like a recycled plot from the first arc, and the story quality suffered, lacking the emotional depth of earlier chapters.
The decline reached its nadir in the latest chapters, which abruptly shifted from the MC's past revelations to a generic Chinese web novel. The harem storyline, involving forced unity and a bizarre twist where the MC's beloved ones turned out to be his enemies, was disappointing. Despite the characters' amnesia and subsequent attempts at regaining their memories, the MC's decision to help them after a night of intimacy seemed contrived.
Given the apparent attempt at fixing issues based on reader feedback, I must admit that the author didn't quite hit the mark. The betrayal and the MC's actions afterward were hard to swallow, especially considering the length of the series (ending at 400 chapters). My advice would be to read up until the first 150 chapters or so, as anything beyond that is subjective and may not align with your preferences.
Thanks bro! And nice profile pic, kumoko is awesome ?
That one was crazy lol
won't this novel continue to be updated? :(
So you're dropping a novel about restaurant development, relation,... because of a fight scene which is clearly not the focus of this novel? Do I need to add anything?
I am... And it's bothering me so much
Oh . Got it
A lot of errors that probably the fault of the translator. Gender and name of the people keep changing making the story very confusing.
I agree with the first commenter. The story has changing character names, numerous typos, and mixed-up pronouns. The translation is not great, but it's better than machine translation. The story's pace is decent, and overall, I enjoyed it. It's my first time encountering a story where all four characters are reincarnated, with three males and one female lead. The female lead also undergoes transmigration. However, I found it occasionally boring and noticed inconsistencies in their character development. For instance, they're powerful but don't always use their abilities effectively. There's a point where I dislike the male lead for wanting to hurt the female lead to prevent her death, which is ironic.
the humor makes me remember the humor of Malcolm in the Middle. it's nothing alike but the humor strikes me the same. maybe the mischeviousness? somebody relates?
If you're a fan of XianXia setting, bl and feels you absolutely need to read this novel! Probably not here tho since they aren't updating but still it's my 2nd favourite novel (first being mdzs)
