"Kenji, what happen young man?" I smiled. Oh yeah how I can not thinking about this. Teacher can solve our problem. "Sir, the other class kids is going to kick Kenji butt when he going to home." I smiled happily, because this must be 100% successful and the problem is solved.
"Madame?" He gave the purse to her and made a glistening smile. The lady shook her head as her eyes widened like was about to cry.
This section does something really smart with its pacing. It starts small — just two girls in a dorm room, one struggling with talismans, the other patiently teaching her. It's quiet. Intimate. The kind of scene that makes you feel like you're actually there, sitting on the bed, watching Lin Lumi demonstrate brush strokes. Then Hua Tian asks about the Lord Marquis, and Lin Lumi opens up about her parents. The pace slows even more, gets heavier, more emotional. You're not skimming here. You're sitting with it. And then — knock at the door. Everything shifts. The energy changes. By the time they reach the pavilion, the chapter has gone from a calm study session to a crowded, noisy, electric scene where everyone's talking about Mu Heng and Lin Lumi and their mysterious history all at once. The author controls this perfectly. There's no jarring jump, no rushed transition. Each beat leads naturally to the next, but the momentum keeps building until you're basically breathless by the time Lin Lumi slaps her hand over Mu Heng's mouth. What I love most is how the chapter ends. Not with a resolution, not with a clear answer, but with Lin Lumi cutting him off mid-sentence and the text literally trailing off. You're left with this incredible tension — what was he going to say? What did he almost reveal? And the fact that she had to stop him tells you everything you need to know about how dangerous this situation is for her. It's a masterclass in how to end a chapter. Not with a bang, but with a whisper that echoes.
The pacing in these chapters is really well-controlled. It starts FAST—educated youth erupting in fury, Wei Min springing to his feet, the whole group shouting at Luo Xuan. That opening is chaotic and energetic, and it immediately throws you into the conflict. Then it slows down for the philosophical debate about thatched vs. brick houses, which gives the story room to breathe and lets character voices shine. But it doesn't drag—the tension keeps building through the confrontation with Huang Xingwu and his 'temper your will' speech. And then BOOM, Tao Nanfeng stands up and delivers that line about houses being meant for people to live in. The structure here is basically: crisis → debate → confrontation → pivot → new direction. Each section flows naturally into the next, and the author knows exactly when to speed things up and when to let a moment land. The one-hour blueprint sequence is a great example of controlled pacing—time slows down, we focus on the details, and then suddenly she's done and the next problem appears. The chapter ending with the material question still unanswered is a perfect mini-cliffhanger. It doesn't resolve everything; it opens a new door. That's how you keep someone turning pages.
"So when do I face these tribulations?" Julius asked the system.
Wan Fang walked into a cultivation room and closed the door. A voice then played in the room "Please sit in lotus position on the red mat in the middle and face the red dot on the wall."
Echo stiffened, "No, but I was in the same grade." His eyes glared, "Anyways, shouldn't Laney be back by now?" Echo diverted the conversation, "Should I pick her up?"
Regis then yelled in irritation" what the hell?"
All of us smiled as we prepared to walk away, when Tang San hurriedly stopped us.
After walking, they stopped at a certain point of the edge. They were at the mid-range of its mountainous terrain near the cliff's edge, hidden behind the foliage of the tall trees. Prime peered intently at what lay underneath the cliff. The view from their spot showed them a vast plain of grassland and at the forefront of it was a group of mortals. So close, yet so far.
" Wow I can tell you've been practicing. You've picked it up so quickly. If I'm honest with you Kaede, I think you have the potential to stand at the very pinnacle of this galaxy, take no notice of what your dad says."
The four people immediately shut up as they realized that they are really noisy. They looked back to the young noble, afraid of what his expression has become.
