overall this novel while focusing on a villian MC purely comes off as a someone who is both OP, has ulimited resources and is almost omniscent compared to everyone else with his previous knowledge and meta knowledge of cultivator tropes, honestly it just isnt enjoyable at this point and actually takes away from a novel about cultivation/wuxia fantasy.
Honestly, it got more marks because of the translators.I am around chapter 300 or so?MC is your template Chinese MC. If I need to explain it to you, than please proceed to read this novel. You will find it entertaining. To those who know about it, Yes it's the same stuff repackaged and rebranded. MC is a Celestial Lord but doesn't acts like one. I don't even know how should he act. Anyone hurting his family is killed, his dialogues are a bit above chunibyou's and... honestly I don't know. Despite reading 300 chapters all I can say is his personality it template CN Xianxia material. It's the sam world, except China has to do something with everything. It was responsible for cutting off cultivation, it has the greatest heritage, it has the strongest masters....you get the hint.Until now I have seen only few bits of racism. If that offends you, why are you even reading a modern/urban CN novels. Oh, but you will see a great dose of nationalism. Racism includes hating Koreans and Japanese. Name calling them. And not sure why, but a strict belief that the whole world is plotting against China.Not much is explained about the world. But some hints here and there suggest a larger world than just earth. So in the end :1: It's the same stuff.2: Probably among the better written ones.3: Story is okay.4: It's actually slightly entertaining. Ciao.Keep safe.
Peak level waste of time. The character is retarted, the story is so cliche, forced and stupid that even childern’s bedtime stories appear to be top tier literature. I’ve seen my fair share of stupid, naive, unreasonably kind and all sorts of other mcs, and this novels protagonist does not fail to make it to my list of top 10 worst written characters. Ignore what the author says; the story does not get better after 10 or even 100 chapters. It’s hopeless — give up. Find a better use for your time.
tl;dr - used to be good, now it's crap that either makes no sense or is wasted chapters praising how much better the MC is than everyone elseTMW started out really nicely, the world was well made, and the characters interesting - until about chapter 500, when I realized it's the same characters, with the same issues, same challenges - with different names. This used to be my favorite novel, but it's gotten so repetitive and monotone I can barely force myself to read it. The Author's original Martial World (it's on Wuxia World) is fantastic, but it seems that he's out of ideas, and simply wastes whole chapters sucking up to the MC, showing how cool he is, keeping calm at all situations and has the devil's tongue, rendering everyone speechless with his witty answers, instead of progressing the non-existent plot. It appears the author simply makes things up as he goes, and has no concrete idea what he wants to do aside from adding infinite plot-armor to the MC, to show he is infinitely better than everyone else in the story. Also, like several other reviews mentioned, it appears as if no one aside from the MC has a functioning brain, speaking for no reason and doing dumb **** only to prop up the MC, to showcase his incredibleness. So far I'm still reading, hoping this novel will crawl its way out of the hole it dug itself.
First something like a disclaimer. The "World Background" is far less than the given 5/5 but the book does not need it.At least at my current chapter it does well.It is one of the very few "different" web novels out there and I like it very much.You could say it is a simple story about a simple man. Or you could say it is a story which is fun to read. Both would be true.Good book (so far)!
its a Confusing novel wich the authors did not organize or explain the Mc properly at the start its only some meaningless conversations However it starts to get better when the mc actually has combat and discovers his strenght (Around chapter 18 to 20)
Im only about 50 chapters in so far, but the book is decent so far. The main issue I am having with it is how big of a coward the mc is, i get why he is its just annoying to read him acting like a massive coward non stop multiple chapters in a row. He was told he is already B rank eith SS potential that shows he is strong but he is scared of a few D rank mobs? So far he really hasnt got any better with the self hate or confidence so im hoping that happens soon or i moght have to drop the book, its good but that kind of stuff is very hard to read for long periods of time.
PURE POISON.I don't understand why would people vote for this.This novel will literally destroy all your brain cell within 10 chapters. I don't understand what the purpose of the story is. Why is this even a novel. There's nothing in this story except Faces slapping, Faces slapping and Faces slapping.I literally almost pulled out my hairs while reading till 10th Chapter. And I will never recommend such worst novels.I am very disappointed in Webnovel. There used to be great novels and Fanfics and now it's progressing backward. I feel that if Webnovel doesn't change now, it will become another app like Wattpad, just with novels filled with locked chapters.

I like the premise, despite having an extremely slow pace and short chapters, I read it with curiosity and without any problem, but my reason for abandoning the novel is the extremely irritating female character of Seo Hea-Jung, I found her personality very annoying. This is my opinion, if you want to read the novel do it.PS: English is not my main language :p
