I really want to give the translator a big hug. This novel is incredibly challenging to translate. Even though I’m eager to find out what happens next, I had to stop reading the machine-translated version. It’s definitely worth waiting for a proper translation.
The story is a lot of fun to read. It’s an endless stream with a relatively straightforward plot. The pacing is just right—each chapter is engaging without feeling rushed or drawn out. However, since both the main character (MC) and the love interest (ML) are primarily focused on combat, the story is packed with action and battles, with fewer puzzle-solving or plot-driven segments (though they are both quite clever). The characters are endearing, and it’s amusing how the main couple is deeply in love, yet the story remains far from being overly romantic. I particularly enjoy how the MC often kills the mood with his deadpan humor. ? While the narrative isn’t groundbreaking and I wish the ghosts and monsters were more terrifying, the story is still highly enjoyable.

it's decent I guess. I haven't read far yet but it seems ok. the characters personality and choices seems to contradict sometimes...or maybe that's my personality conflicting with the character?... Also I have kind of a hard time reading this through. the translation is ok but its hard to figure out who's talking, if the character is just thinking,or if the MC is even the current point of view cause it does switch around sometimes
I don't know how to feel about this novel. Everything is good until fight scenes, i was always like "Oh... We are fighting?". It always caught me off guard, like the sentences integrating with each other so seemlessly that i barely feel any heat from the battle itself. It's like reading a documentary about fighting with no excitement whatsoever.

Guys, I couldn’t even last for more than 36 chapters.
This is goddamn AWFUL.

From the very start, you’ll notice the problem. The main character (MC) is a 19-year-old assassin in a modern world affiliated with an organization; she’s also an expert in medical knowledge and mind control. BUT she was deceived by her friend who stabbed her with a MERE knife. And why? Because of a prophecy from... GOD. This is the modern world, and just her background story is filled with so many world inconsistencies. They should have at least set it in a zombie apocalypse; readers would have found it easier to swallow and might have forgiven her young age.
After that, we have her waking up in a cultivation world and defeating qi and foundation practitioners without any cultivation in her body. We can maybe accept her using her needles in the fight, but we absolutely cannot accept her physical battles. Even if she has the skills, the body she’s currently possessing—that of Nalan Hexi—was frail and couldn’t match such speed, nor did it have the strength to send someone flying with a mere punch.
The interactions between characters are so cartoonish and ridiculous. It reminds you of those theatrical pieces for children who exaggerate too much to make the audience understand; where the villains even sing songs saying, "We are the villains." Even more so with insults like "little ruthless girl," "vicious girl," or their "wuwuwu."
Then we have the male lead (ML) making his appearance and nearly raping her... with the standard "nobody in the city dared to talk to me like this" and the "nobody was able to injure me like this." YEAH, of course!! WHILE she did NOT have any cultivation...
Sorry for the author, but I feel like this was written by a child; like REALLY. Maybe it might seem slightly better in Chinese, but the plot is absolutely garbage.
This is definitely my current favorite series. Although some folks argue that it lacks a conventional plot and revolves mainly around cooking and eating (which is somewhat true), there's actually a hidden storyline. As the series progresses, numerous intriguing questions arise, such as:
1. How did Satou, who isn't a reincarnation or summon, end up in this world?
2. Prior to rescuing Baron Muno's territory, Satou dreams of a girl with ever-changing hair color. They claim to have met multiple times in various dimensions, always crossing paths. She even curses him to attract only lolis, mentioning a dragon god's offense and subsequent divine ascension, where he married the dragon god – a topic revisited later.
3. A demon lord mistakes Satou for someone they know, and during their visit to the ruined city of the sky, they come across a portrait resembling an adult version of Satou.
4. A loli deity appears, urging Satou to stay the same, dubbing him a hero, and gifts him a sword.
If you're looking for a light-hearted series with an unstoppable main character and a well-developed narrative featuring diverse characters, I highly recommend this one.
Translation is straightforward and easy to follow. We’re only at the beginning, and so far, the plot has been clear and it’s a quick read.
The main character isn’t overpowered, but his skills enable him to handle various situations flexibly, which is the primary draw.
It’s a great read to unwind with during tea time.
