Love the book! Big Fan!
What an awesome journey. Thanks Muse for this story.
Really well written. Not rushed, not drawn out. A really lovely story that made me sad, made me cry and made me laugh and smile. Thank you.
The book is worth it, with a lot of happy and sad moments!
Please give it a try
That gem was an ACCIDENT!!! I should have read the final chapter first!!! And SAVED MY MONEY.
The visual storytelling in this chapter is insane. Let me paint you the scene: birthday banquet, Old Madam Yan in a cheongsam surrounded by people, all this upper-class Beijing energy. Then you cut to evening, guests dispersing, and through the glass Jiang Yunzhi sees Su Ziyan leaning on Shen Xuzhou on the balcony, arms around his neck, and he's kissing her — 'more violent, more domineering. Wishing he could kiss Su Ziyan's mouth raw.' The author just drops this image through a window like we're Voyeur Jiang Yunzhi watching her own ex live his best life with someone else. And then he catches her looking and kisses her even harder. The glass barrier, the contrast between the warm banquet inside and this dramatic scene outside — it's basically a movie shot. Then Yan Wenjing walking into her room while she's half undressed after her shower. The door opening, her frantically pulling clothes back on, his pupils contracting and turning away. The heat rising. All of this is conveyed without a single explicit description, just through implication and reaction. The world feels so lived-in too — the castle, the security cameras, the luxury brands worth tens of millions, the stock price concerns. Every detail grounds us in this wealthy Beijing circle.
I've always known it was not an ordinary death!

Great Read my Friend wrote this
This story isn’t too bad, but the final chapters of the main plot are quite dull. Additionally, some elements were introduced and then never addressed again. For these reasons, I would rate it a 4/5, though it’s more like a 3.5/5 that I’ve rounded up.
