I thought she's an only child how did she become an orphan? Im confused
This isn’t technically a spoiler, but reading your comment made me feel like not reading this novel anymore just because you summarizing the plot took away some of the charm of reading for the first time.
I think it's a good series that you can give a chance. It could be a better series in the future. Its universe looks interesting. Although it seems a bit classic at first, it seems to open up later on.

I love this story. Just when I think there is a loose end somewhere the author ties it up and amazes me. The writing is excellent. I've giggled and cried and it's been the best time.
