Haven’t fully read the first book in series, started to but found this book more intriguing. Love the storyline, it would be nice if you occasionally introduced parts of the back story, but otherwise I really am enjoying the characters. I do think you went a bit overboard with amount of villans
To those leaving negative reviews, it's important to note that this novel carries genres such as "Action, Adventure, Comedy, Ecchi, Fantasy, Harem, Mature Romance, and Shounen." If you dislike these specific elements, likening a poor rating to disliking a Western film due to the absence of cowboys might be an apt comparison. What was your expectation when choosing a novel with those tags?
In terms of its classification, this particular "Mature Ecchi Harem Romance Comedy with Shounen Action Fantasy Adventures" offers a satisfactory experience. The main character often relies on unconventional thinking, but the narrative provides a reasonable explanation for his actions. He has earned his place and seeks enjoyment, occasionally eliminating obstacles that interfere. Along the way, he even offers guidance to the new hero.
Regarding the spoiler, my understanding is that the protagonist was sent back home initially because rival factions intended to exploit him. He didn't resist as he believed he could return, and by then, he had compiled a list of desires from Earth.
"I'm really enjoying the story thus far; it evokes strong emotions. Similar to what another commentator mentioned, I appreciate that it's not just about revenge. Instead, it delves into themes of self-discovery and personal healing, which is quite refreshing. Although there aren't many chapters, every one has been a pleasant read for me."
If you're not fond of engaging stories or well-developed characters, that's understandable. I'm genuinely surprised by the 5-star ratings for this. The main character lacks depth up until now, simply wandering around and killing indiscriminately, which can be intriguing, but without any character growth, it's becoming monotonous.
I'll continue reading, hoping for an improvement, but based on other reviews, it doesn't seem like it's going to change much. (Decided to drop it after reading more opinions.) The protagonist's personality is what keeps the novel somewhat captivating, yet it simultaneously holds it back. So far, nothing has made her relatable enough to sustain my interest.
First time reading a non linear story?
I personally have a soft spot for Huo Wujiu (Main Male Character). He comes across as arrogant and dominant, but when it comes to his love interest, he shows vulnerability and tenderness. What I admire most is how he confidently declares his intentions and feelings, such as openly stating he'll be the queen among court officials or confessing his pursuit to MC's father in the modern setting. It's incredibly refreshing and bold!
Huo Wujiu is my favorite character – I find it difficult to articulate exactly why, but I just can't help liking him. The female lead, with her cuteness and intelligence, complements him perfectly.
I also enjoy the supporting couple dynamic between Nie Cong and Lou Wanjun. It adds an interesting layer to the story.
you got ratiod so bad you didn't even respond
