You'll never know if you don't go
He didn't know where he was. He didn't know what was happening. Kamen flitted in and out of consciousness, eventually losing all concept of time. How long he'd really been in this state was a mystery to him. All he could tell was that he seemed to be moving forward, pulled by an indescribable force deeper into the complete darkness surrounding him. This state of tranquility seemed to be able to continue forever. Eventually, space shifted, thrusting him outside the darkness.
And we could all use a little change

Chapter 1's are supposed to be an introduction to the story, in here we get into action fairly quickly and I can't really say much since we don't get more in the chapter... Frankly I hate stories that are written in this way, to be short, each speaker NEEDS to be given their own paragraph + use quotation marks when someone is speaking etc...

"Alright, Clyde and I found some weird stuff while we were in detention. A weird looking spider with scales for skin and white pupils for eyes. Whatever these things are, one of them caught me off guard and almost sucked the life out of me. Good thing Clyde resolved the situation." I explained.

Maybe the me who didn't even think 'If I have this much money, of course I should rest.' is an idiot.
