Instead of actively confronting the Fang family, he resorted to passivity, neglecting to seek help from his parents or employ security measures. His passivity left me unimpressed.
The grandparents' behavior was equally concerning; in a life-threatening situation, they prioritized personal reconciliation and delaying warnings over their son's safety. Moreover, the transformation of victims into perpetrators, like the deranged prisoner who triggered the protagonist's tragedy, without facing consequences, disgusted me. The Ye family's lack of urgency in dealing with the Fangs after the initial incident, fearing more victims, further frustrated me.
What bothered me the most was how effortlessly the malicious family was dismantled, and the protagonist's easy escape from the kidnapping felt unrealistic, reminding me that this was just a work of fiction. On a positive note, I appreciated the translator's insightful commentary.

Tbh tonight is a really bad night for me really bad that I could consider myself traumatized right now, my anxiety are screaming at my face and I can't seem to relax at all I even panicked and cried, trying to calm myself down is hard for me so I decided to read this this to take my focus away from my current condition..a chapter in and I started laughing and it relaxed me so much that I feel grateful to the author, translator and editor for bringing this novel to existence.
