Came back here after seeing that a comment of mine from an year ago was getting some activity. It seems that people from an year ago actually had decent taste and knew this novel is mediocre. If you really want to read progressive fantasy with power creep, just read Swallowed Star, which is actually decent. It's honestly surprising seeing people say that they liked the novel, it's like they haven't read anything better.
so how is the novel??
This is so f*ck*ng good so so f*ck*ng good BUT, it deserves its rating if I have tbh. It's pretty interesting, funny and addicting, at first 100 or 200 chapters that is. After that it just gets repetitive, it's really only made of face slapping and face slapping and face slapping and face slapping again and again and again. It just gets boring and predictable at a certain point where it's just you reading something that you déjà-vu.yeah good but for sometime, than it gets bad and mandane otherwise repetitive. Read it. It's pretty fun ngl I was so hooked at first but like I said I just quit later. It's pretty fun if you are not too invested in the novel otherwise don't expect too much
Im basically just reading 2-3 sentences every chapter because the rest are just garbage redundant explanation.
General comments,Biggest complaint in the novel so far is the author's dumb views on ...idk what to call it... being a playboy? On how teens act in love and stuff? Like seriously its either horrible and violates basic consent, outright stupid and seems made up, or just...very confusing. Oh and creepy, very creepy. Please don't listen to the author and anything he writes about that stuff.Okay second biggest complaint (which you find in a lot of chinese novels) is a complaint lack of critical thinking in characters and the stupid face (pride) culture of china being portrayed as if it actually happens. Firstly, would like to point out in real life (even in China likely) the fucking "oh my face I am going to get revenge" spiel isn't actually that toned up. It definitely isn't fucking normal. Especially out of china anyone with the critical thinking levels I would hope an 8 year old has would not be so dumb in thinking like that. Worse example is the repeated "lose once then you're weak" spiel everyone keeps saying. No...that it works. Sure, you wouldn't have the popularity(?) anymore but it doesn't make you weak. What??? I don't understand the characters, and then when the character themselves loses it is suddenly fine and doesn't mean they are weak just that the other person offended them and they need to save face and take revenge? What again??? If I met people like this in real life (to be fair I have) I would genuinely think they either have a mental issue, never learnt critical thinking, or are just psychopathic (which were the explanations to most the people I met who were like this)Also found out this novel got a man...hwa? idk what the chinese ones are called... looks a bit shit in all honesty and some of the stuff that I imagined do not look like what I thought they did (biggest example being the cross wheels, they are just bigger stereotypical shuriken stars with the centre having indentations for fingers.... I thought of them as serrated rings with a centre section for manipulation.
Emptiness after I read this :(
The story was very interesting but all the stupidity of the author is ingrained into the novel later on. I'm not reading this novel to listen to your delusional opinions and racism. I don't care what you think but this just shows the author only thinks about his own country and the others are just random trash on the road. The author is just a kid who didn't get his candy. His ideal world is one which only contains a certain country's people as rulers and others as slaves. Only a poor education system gives birth to such individuals. Please wake up Mr. author, this is not your daydream.

Percy Seacrest...you have an amazing story going here. From the MC, to the storyline and character specifications, everything is well thought out and realistic.
The world building has a lot of potentials which you could harness as you go on. I would love to know what would happen from here. More updates for me.
Things have gotten pretty interesting, even in the earlier stages of the novel. I've really liked James, one of the characters, who's special circumstances make him extremely unpredictable and dangerous, even he doesn't intend to. Great read for anyone looing for a good sci-fy.
Decided to be shameless and write this review since nobody bothered to drop one. I guarantee that anybody who likes the genre would love it since I like it, wrote the plot, writing the novel, editing it and reading it and enjoying it as as a reader. So for anybody interested in this genre, read it, drop a comment, save it, and support me(if you like too).anybody interested in the plot can see the below spoiler(although not much of one for me)
