Well if you haven't enjoyed it until 40 then you won't enjoy it as the novel is pretty dull
It's pretty good but I would suggest you to wait for the final chapters to get released.
Just a bit. But do you know sword god in mage world or something? Try to see if you can read in smooth flow there. I have a hard time especially in the early to middle reading that.

Then you should have already heard of orv, It's one of those highly recommended novel. Also, if you heard of bad ending or something, it's probably a comment from the time before the epilogue
I mean the next level really can only be writing your own novel, either just for you or to release, I mean that would be the only real next step you can take because you can make it exactly what you want, and if you keep it private it can be total trash (like the one I am writing for myself, first time writing something so of course it’s trash) and as nonsensical as you want but as long as you are satisfied it doesn’t matter how good or bad it really is.
Yes it was interesting until chapter 25 or something but it's a lot of unnecessary explanation plus really weird sayings, it's honestly just as over the place, the magic battles aren't really magical it's weird mc is supposed to be strong yet he's super weak towards everything, you get lost easily you have to force yourself to read slow or reread something to understand where the he'll your at in a point of view, it's just messy
