Well this is another of the racist novels on here. The story itself is decent but it plays HARD into the whole idea that foreigners are all evil. Never trust them. Seriously, they may have been part of the empire for generations but they can never hold any position of worth because you know they are evil. This is the main character's view unscripted and unprovoked that receives perfect recommendations from everyone for how wonderful of a view it is. Yea. I am done. A pity as it was relatively promising up until the Imperial Examination and the unrelenting racism/nationalism.
This story is fairly confusing. Lots of detailed cultivation mumbo jumbo which is meaningless, even the plot itself is barely explained, miss a single sentence, or interpret a paragraph ever so slightly differently than the author intended, and suddenly nothing makes sense.At this point I gave up on trying to make sense of the novel and am just along for the ride.

The romance is garbage. Ugliest girl in the school takes off her glasses, revealing a jadelike beauty underneath. The MC immediately feels "protective" and "possessive". Also, the entire plot is just the MC bragging and showing off. It's about as good as it sounds.
