A good book!
Think I'm beginning to like this book. Firstly it's completed with perfectly written grammars also for plots involving medical scientific descriptions,thankfully detailed to enhance our knowledge as in medical terms accordingly hence something to recognise.Applause for the Author's efforts.11/05/24

Such a great book! Hands down one of the best I’ve read on here to date. I went through all the emotions reading Mia and Leo’s story…I laughed, cried and got mad at some point through their journey of friendship, love and growth. Definitely give this book a read!

The opening image of Wu Junji sitting outside in the cold, waiting for Emperor Zhou to return from court, with all these little domestic details—rice paste around his mouth, dragging a cloth tiger, sometimes barefoot—creates this incredibly vivid picture of a child who looks adorable but is actually running a sophisticated operation in his head. The contrast between the visual (a cute toddler) and the internal reality (a scheming reborn soul) is delicious. Then the scene explodes into chaos when Emperor Zhou chases Wu Junji. The guards swarming like leeches, the jade pendant shattering, the heart-piercing kicks to the servants—it's cinematic. You can SEE this. The palace becomes a warzone, and Wu Junji is the only one who dares to run because he knows his father will protect him even while punishing him. The silence after Emperor Zhou leaves is also powerful. The entire Taiji Palace falls into this frozen state—servants reacting with fear, silence, or distance. The palace itself seems to hold its breath. And Wu Junji, alone, touching his ringing ear, staring at the sky—that's a shot that will stay with me.
