I have to talk about the atmosphere in this chapter because the author absolutely nailed the contrast between the terrifying setting and the domestic absurdity happening inside it. Picture this: You're in the Demon Palace. Yu Xiao is the Demon Lord. There's demonic mist everywhere, people are getting beaten half to death, Li Yanhe is literally being tossed around like a ragdoll. This should be a scene of pure dread and horror, right? Wrong. Because Chu Xuyun is sitting in the corner of the bloodless hall, sipping tea, playing chess, and mentally planning his wedding outfit. The image of Chu Xuyun in his neat clothes, not a hair out of place, completely unbothered while his disciple gets pummeled outside is both terrifying and hilarious. The author keeps coming back to this detail—"not a hair out of place"—which tells you everything about Chu Xuyun's character. He's an Immortal Monarch who could probably still win if he tried, but he's chosen this path of deliberate calm. Or maybe he's just genuinely more invested in embroidery patterns than combat. Either way, it's brilliant. And then the chessboard scene. The way the author describes Chu Xuyun picking up a stone pen and swaying it gracefully over the board, pushing pieces aside to reveal his crude drawing. The visual of Yu Xiao leaning in, the warm breath on Chu Xuyun's ear, the way the world fades around them—it's so cinematic. You can literally see this as a film. The lighting, the proximity, the tension. And then BAM, demon envoy at the door ruining everything like a sitcom laugh track. The Demon Clan envoy waiting outside, wisely turning away and shutting the door when things get intimate—that small detail made me laugh out loud. Even the demons know when to give people space.
It is a very interesting book, well written, with a fascinating story, well-developed characters and an extraordinarily created new world. And a very passionate author, eager for affirmation, who will leave you in ecstasy with each chapter.
Nice novel...it's my type so I'm really drawn to it. Love the work ??. Umm ok I need my review to be up to a 140 characters so I'm just writing this next section to complete it. Lol
Very well! This is great! I'm loving this author every chapter. keep it up
I was just wondering, is it possible to absorb the electrical signals transmitted through the nervous system to lessen the pain by not letting the brain register them? Of course, it will not entirely block the pain since it can't absorb energy that well to begin with, so it will only prevent at most 20% of the pain from being registered by the brain. (I am at chapter 53 so don't know about the talent more.)
A genueinely great novel if you are reading this review, atleast give it try upto 10 or 20 chapters to have your own opinion on the novel in that way even if you don't like it you wont feel like you wasted your time. I really enjoyed the novel so far and highly recommend it. Writting quality: it's simply great i can't remember any mistake.Update stability too soon tale but good so far.World building: it's good it develops as the story countinue and so does the info we get.Story: to early to judge but so far it good. And has potential.Other characters are also good.
just read the reviews. seems interesting. I put it in my library and read it later ?
a chocolate mommy on the spot count me, and overprotective tsundere loli vampire with yandere potential count me in, but on the real though, this book is really good. At first I thought this was a high school DXD fanfiction but boy i got baited. Also mc is basically in a fanfiction world and although he is still a baby his abilities are setting him up for some serious grinding. But the harem potential in this rally good so far, I just hope mc assert his dominance it's not over till we catch them all.
Oh boy, I was not expecting to get drawn in when that supermarket scene happened. It Lowk annoyed me what the other teens did to Walid. I was actually getting visibly angry ?. I’m begging his mom is going to be ok?. But man, 10/10 for me! Finished chapter 2 and I didn’t even realise it! I’m definitely going to be reading this until it’s finished! Please don’t drop it. ??
It's a good political and royal family power struggle story. I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy reading it! Keep it going, author! Waiting for more updates from you!
Love the story, keep up the good work , and I will advice you to try reading the book, it's one of a kind. Thanks for supporting the books. Xoxo
A good story with an intriguing intro that reels you in. Love the mystery vibes and the possibilities the author can take this tale are endless. A bit of advice would be tweaking a few errors on grammar. Otherwise, highly recommend it!
