What a mind blowing book. It really was different to other books I have read. I Wasn't expecting the book to end like is. Can't wait to read the second book. Hope it as a happy ending this time for Danny and Louis. What a good book.

A review for my future self to look back on, completely subjective:
Unsatisfying endings. Your heart will ache for more. Just when things turn around for the main character (MC) and where other novels would continue to write about how the MC and the love interest (ML) are living happily together and end the world in love, with a neatly tied resolution, the author says "f*ck it" and moves on. Truly a novel focusing wholeheartedly on career and not romance. The male lead is actually surprisingly likable, despite his imperfections. He is usually tolerant, understanding, and devoted—although sometimes he has to taste regret and guilt before he is enlightened. He gives off strong second male lead vibes, which is probably why I like him so much.
My favorite arcs were the cooking, medicine, and the first cultivation arc (and maybe the fashion designer one). Despite the lack of resolution, the author's no-nonsense way of moving the plot forward is really satisfying for someone just looking for entertainment. Nothing is dragged out too long, no face-slapping scenes are too vulgar or overdone, and every cliché is tastefully written. The author is quick to cut ties and move on from arcs, which is both a blessing and a curse.
If you enjoy the webcomic "Cheating Men Must Die," you'll likely appreciate this one too – and vice versa. It's a clear pro-protagonist finale, but FL surprisingly relies on minimal cheat mechanisms. The protagonist, FL, mainly utilizes the system's tracking feature, while ML secretly offers additional support. FL's self-reliance is commendable, showcasing a stark contrast between her strength and ML's desire to protect her without compromising the mission objectives.
The story revolves around FL's astute navigation of manipulative plots and psychological warfare, deftly calling out the clichéd and unethical portrayals often seen in similar narratives. Despite its brevity, the narrative satisfaction is high, and the absence of excessive smartphone-based interactions keeps the focus on the main plot.
While the romantic aspect is present, it doesn't overshadow the slapstick action, which is the highlight. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, giving it a solid 5 out of 5 stars.
