Great book with great characters. Lots of twists. Definitely another great book from Stacy Rush! Loved this one almost as much as her book My Bully’s Love. Sad to see this one end but it was well worth the wait and heartache in some scenes. Cannot wait for the next book from Stacy!

The stakes in these chapters keep escalating and I love it. Let me trace the conflict ladder: Level 1: Divorce from Liu Dawei. Personal, intimate, but she has no leverage. And the suspense about Deputy Director Zhou's family? Liu Dawei's investigation? That's a subplot thread that's clearly building toward something bigger. The author is playing the long game while giving us immediate satisfaction in each chapter.
