The opening chapters of the novel left me quite frustrated. Perhaps it's just my perspective, but I found it unjust that the blame for the divorce dominated more than half the story. I expected the main character (MC) to at least attempt to reignite the love with the male lead (ML), but after his amnesia, the MC gave up without even trying. It then turned into the MC disliking the ML for his immaturity – which was half the book.
A point I disliked was the MC's conditional love. He fell in love with the ML because of his calmness and maturity, which also influenced his acceptance of the divorce. Like others in their world, he didn't believe their love would last. The fact that the MC only loved the ML after he changed due to his parents' actions and his own guilt made me question the depth of their bond. It seemed like their love was predicated on external circumstances.
The revelation about the ML's father's illegitimate child, whose drowning incident later affected the ML's personality, further complicated matters. The MC's love for the ML after these events made me wonder if their connection was truly genuine or just a reaction to a specific situation.
The MC isn't particularly endearing, with his calm demeanor being the main trait. However, one standout scene was the MC's flashback when he first noticed the ML after his transformation. It was a rare moment where I felt hopeful for their relationship. In a camping trip, the ML proposed running away, and despite initial doubts, the MC agreed, marking a small step towards their love. Generally, the ML took the lead in pursuing their connection.
Overall, the novel is average. It doesn't provide the same level of entertainment as some others, but it's not terrible either. Just don't expect too much from it.
The novel, "This Young Master Have Had Enough," captivated me with its compelling storytelling. The protagonist's resilience and unexpected journey left an indelible mark on my imagination. Each chapter unfolded like a rollercoaster of emotions, as the protagonist faced adversity head-on. The author's vivid prose brought characters to life, making it difficult to put down. I found myself deeply invested in their triumphs and tribulations. A thought-provoking read that kept me hooked till the very end. Highly recommended for those seeking a thrilling blend of drama and self-discovery.
Damn MC thinks he's somebody even without his cheat. Author lazy and inconsistent starting when MC travels to Great Qin. Drop quality and drop novel
Makes sense
