I need to vent about Xu Xiao for a second. Qin Su just gets this call and her fifteen million yuan adaptation deal is gone. Director Zhou's voice is all apologetic but she knows it's over. And her immediate thought isn't even about the money — it's about how petty he is for still interfering after they broke up. But what actually hit me was Qin Su's internal monologue: 'As long as Xu Xiao is interfering behind the scenes, the film adaptation rights for this novel would probably never be sold.' She's not just sad, she's calculating. She's already doing the math on how to recover. Which leads to her immediately trying to sell Xin Ying a one-million-yuan fortune bracelet. The emotional whiplash from heartbreak to 'let me monetize this' is so sudden it's hilarious, but also kind of touching in a dark way. She's not wallowing. She's not crying. She's like, fine, men are jerks, I'll rely on myself. That's the energy. And then she pivots to helping Zhang Yunqi with her revenge instead of spiraling. I respect that. The friendship between Qin Su and Zhao Shiyu also stood out — Zhao Shiyu immediately defends her when classmates start gossiping about the breakup. 'One exam doesn't prove anything.' Small moment, but it shows who actually cares.

2 1/2 stars for this book... Don't get me wrong the I love the book thus far butI'm giving the Author 1/2 the stars for half a book... Why start something that u dont plan to finish... that is so unfair to the readers we pay to read these books... You did a great job PLEASE finish the book!!
