The story started promising but quickly declined, and two main factors contributed to my dissatisfaction: the main character (MC), both the original and the replacement. Although the original MC was widely acknowledged to have a terrible personality, some still praised her as kind, which was confusing, especially given the introduction of the new MC. A significant factor was her best friend, perhaps unaware of the old MC's darker actions.
Regarding the new MC, it was concerning how quickly people took a liking to her, even after she replaced someone with a disturbing history. For instance, she had an abusive relationship with her step-grandmother and had drugged and raped the male lead (ML) – this lack of empathy was hard to overlook.
Additionally, the MC displayed inconsistency in her behavior. At times, she could be petty and dwell on minor issues, but when it came to crucial matters, she either failed to act or didn't seem to care. In one instance, she tried to do business with a贪婪 restaurant owner in their village but gave up easily, claiming poor business skills. When faced with a more reasonable landlord regarding her rented apartment, she held onto grudges and demanded more than she was entitled to, even after the landlord offered a fair settlement.
Ultimately, I couldn't tolerate the excessive drama and decided to stop reading early.

There was an off-screen, non-consensual scene involving the main character (MC), which left a strong impact. Even though MC doesn't recall it due to being drugged, his emotional reaction upon waking up and seeing the aftermath was devastating – he cried.
Initially, I thought it might be a misunderstanding or a joke, but it turned out to be genuine. The male lead (ML) apologized and vowed to treat MC better, but that doesn't excuse his actions. At the time I started, there was no mention of such content under the rape tag.
The story had been light and humorous up until then, with reviews suggesting a consistently loving relationship between MC and ML. However, that's not the case.
Should you still read the book? Absolutely. The story can still be engaging. However, I felt compelled to share this review because of the unexpected dark element in a "light-hearted" narrative. If you're intrigued by the concept, give it a try, but be aware that it's not entirely a heartwarming tale.
So far, I'm really enjoying this novel! The character development strikes a nice balance, avoiding the extreme OP-ness often seen in other transmigration stories. However, the translation quality is inconsistent; it occasionally reads like machine-translated content, especially when referring to the main character (MC) as "King," which should be "Prince" or possibly "Duke" due to his relationship to the Emperor. There's also a part where the MC is said to be jotting down important points during a mealtime conversation, but the original Chinese phrase actually means taking mental notes, which makes the constant Patreon ad placements at the end of each chapter feel a bit intrusive. It would be more tolerable if there was a clear separation between the text and ads.
In summary, if you're reading the translated version, approach the content with a bit more skepticism, as there are noticeable issues beyond translation discrepancies. The constant ads might be a bit annoying without a clear distinction.
